What are some well-developed mods that fill in the huge empty spaces?

I just installed an invisible wall remover and I am shocked to see all that empty landscape behind the mountains. Miles and miles of totally bare desert terrain just crying out for development. I have no experience with the GECK whatsoever, so I would like to know if there are any well-developed mods that fill in all that empty space.

 

I am kind of shocked that FNV was released with all that barren land included. It makes the game seem unfinished, somehow.

That land being empty likely isn't a sign of the game being unfinished, but rather a little touch to create the illusion that there's more beyond the playable area so that it doesn't look like the world just stops after a certain point.

 

As for mods to fill in some of it, i've seen a few, but unfortunately have never tried any so I can't say how well made they are.

I too, have sensed the wasteland too empty.

 

The above mods add new places to explore, warzones adds random encounters and new places.

world of pain is a very good one just make sure you install it correctly. NV bounties does a good job adding more quest and new world spaces.
