How to remove all mods.

Hey guys, I have recently been adding dozens of mods to the game and they are fantastic. However I ran into a problem yesterday where skyrim totatly shut down and wouldnt work. After somehow fixing the problem I now get errors when trying to add some mods via the nexus loader.

This is a recent error I was getting after I tried to install Tytanis. Now sometimes a new mod will display an error such as this when trying to add it when it has no relation.

I am trying to completely clean my skyrim folder of all mods so I can restart adding mods I know I wan't along with those I know won't cause errors.

Can anyone tell me how to basically reset my skyrim folder without deleting my saves or re-downloading the game?

It seems that the esp may be missing, have you tried downloading the mod again? Maybe try a manual install if it doesn't work. I've never heard of the Tytanis mod before or of this modder, I'm not criticizing but this sounds like an ambitious project for such a small file (without any toolset) and you may want to wait until the mod is finished or at least until it reaches a stage when you don't have to bring your install up to date every other day or so (if the author does indeed update it daily).

If you want to remove mods without reinstalling, make sure you uncheck the esps in the data tab of the launcher to disable mods that use an esp (don't try to uncheck the esm).

As far as custom textures and meshes (what mods usually add) you should remove the textures and meshes folders from your data folder (back them up just in case you want to put them back).

Do you have a clean save to go back to? If not I hope your save will work.

It's a good idea to keep track of the mods you're using and to exercise caution because having too many mods will probably cause issues. Some mods aren't compatible and we don't have the tools to check things out yet.

Sometimes less is more -if you see what I mean. ;)
