Deleted4363562User
I've been trying to contact expired6978 about using a static version of his/her mod, like the one Elianora uses, in my Home Plate mod, but it would seem he/she has not been online in quite some time. Id anyone in contact with him/her?
werr92
What do you mean by static version? This is vanilla mesh, he created a script to show char gen menu. Moreover, even if he lets you use his mod as a master, you'll make people who would like to play your mod download another mod (his mod). This doesn't feel to be th e right thing to do. Honesty, you will spend much more time waiting for him to come and let you use his content, than doing it by yourself. The idea behind this is very simple and doesn't require strong papyrus knowledge. So you basically create a perk that adds a new activate entry (perk can offer you many things to modify but you need simply a new activate button)button. Then you add this perk to the player. Then you create a new script (added locally to the mirror or another conteiner you wish), that registers for lookevent and when it occurs your new activation entry displays (saying "appearance" in his case). If player hits Space or whatever button you specify for this purpose the CharGen menu is called. It's that simple, literally. Three steps. No need to wait for ages. Deleted4363562User
What do you mean by static version? This is vanilla mesh, he created a script to show char gen menu. A non-constructable version, i.e. a non-workshop version that is "static", in that you cannot build or move it. Like the ones Elianora did with her Faction Home Overhaul mods. (Expired6978 made them for her) As for it being simple, I guess it is if you know papyrus or any scripting language, but I have no background in programming. So it's not so simple for me. Not yet anyway. I will eventually learn it to a degree, but that's not something I can do at the moment. Thanks anyway.
