Ghogiel
Of course it would be illegal to upload files from Oblivion, but would it be all right to have a program to convert them to Skyrim?there is precedent to suggest that Bethesdas lawyers would deem that a breach of the TOS. aka morroblivion. Matth85
This sort of thing is actually a legal grey area. EULAs may or may not be legally binding. It hasn't been tested in court yet. Perhaps not. But if it would come to it, I believe him/we/whomever would lose a lot more than Bethesda. They can afford it, and I doubt a random modder can be afforded to go to court. It is far from adviced to copy anything from anther game. Make it from scratch or leave it, easy as that.
Uerba
what i was looking for was how to do it i saw mods from oblivion converted for skyrim i wont post any links because i do not know if that is allowed but if someone says that its allowed il post the links
Matth85
How to? Ask the original author to do it. If it is not your mod, you will break copyright law if you port it without his/her permission. Otherwise, it all depends on what mods. Some would need the CK, which is not out yet, and some would be doable with the tools we got now.

Matth85
You could probably swap the models as of now.Or wait a week, get the CK, and do as we did in Oblivion. Or close, at least. Patience is a virtue, huh? :P
Ghogiel
The assets are no problem really.. well the new collision Mopp shape thing isn't doable, but other colision types probably work..You can pretty much make a full plugin for weapon right now as well. throttlekitty
OP asked about converting Oblivion mods to Skyrim, which is legal, provided you have permission from the original author. Check the readmes first, unless the author wrote something specific, send them a message asking.

To clarify, converting vanilla assets from one game to another is not legal.
