Question Before I Play Too Much

I saw that in Oblivion race mods helped to create a lot of different, "styles," of characters.

Since the creation kit is not out yet, race mods are also not out yet.

If I start playing a lot now and later on when race mods are released, how does it work?

Will I be able to convert my already made character by selecting a new race through the mods?

Or do I make a new character to select one of the race mods?

 

Please advise me on how I should take my approach on Skyrim before the race mods come out, I really looked forward to this

game because of the race mods, many different styles.

Should I play my heart out now? Or should I wait because there is no point?

You should be able to use the showracemenu to select a new race.

You should be able to use the showracemenu to select a new race.

 

That was available in Oblivion right?

If it just so happens that Skyrim does not have that what other options do I have or did Oblivion have left?
