Remove gloves from armor

So, I'm trying to remove gloves from a set of armor that includes gloves by default; the armor in question is LordofWar's Scavenged NCR Armor, but there are a few others that I might also do this to if it's a simple enough process that isn't armor-specific. Note that this is just for personal use, I have no intention of sharing it or anything. Anyway, I assume the first step is to remove the models for the gloves and fingers, which I did in Outfit Studio, but the problem is that once I go ingame my character unsurprisingly has no hands. Obviously I need to tell the game that the model does not have hands and as such should use the base model hands, but I have no idea how to do this. I tried comparing it to another long sleeve outfit that doesn't have any gloves (the tuxedo) in the Creation Kit but I couldn't find the difference between the two that led to the game deciding that one outfit has hands and the other outfit does not.

I've searched pretty extensively to try to figure this out on my own, but I haven't been able to find any relevant information. I found a couple guides for New Vegas that seemed like they might work, but they involved functions in the GECK that don't seem to be present (or don't work the same way) in the CK. Not to mention that I'm a novice with the GECK/CK in general, so even if they were relevant, I might still not know how to use them. Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

I tried that with both the original .nif and the edited .nif sans gloves, but it didn't make any difference - the original still had the gloves, and the edited still had no hands at all. I feel like I should point out here that the gloves don't have separate values in the .esp file - they are 100% part of the armor itself. I decided to compare it to the .esp for unoctium's NCR Veteran Ranger Armor, which also has gloves by default, and in that one the gloves are treated separately. You can see for yourself: Scavenged NCR Armor's esp, and NCR Veteran Ranger Armor's esp. I also compared the models in Outfit Studio: SNCR Armor (1st person model), and NCRVR Armor.

I think the method you suggested would work to remove the gloves from the NCR Veteran Ranger armor, but not the Scavenged NCR armor. For that, I think I'll have to put a little more work in, which I don't mind - I just don't know how to do it. I appreciate the help, but I still need more unfortunately. Edit: I used the method you suggested on the NCR Veteran Ranger armor, and without doing anything else to it - only removing the values for the hands under BOD2 - it now has no hands at all in third and first person. So it leaves me in the same spot that I'm in with the SNCR armor: I can remove the gloves, but I don't know how to add normal, naked hands to it. I guess I'll try modifying the .esp so that it points to the .nif for the base male hands rather than the .nif for the gloves and see if that works. Just to clarify, I'm still primarily interested in removing the gloves from the SNCR armor, and I'm just using the NCRVR armor as a basis for comparison.

Edit 2: I've figured out a temporary solution: I imported the armor into Outfit Studio and removed the gloves again, and this time I added the .nif for the base male hands in place of the gloved hands. The game still thinks the armor has gloves, so I can't equip gloves from Armorsmith Extended (which I kind of wanted to be able to do) but it will work for now. I'm still interested in hearing the correct way of doing this, though, if anyone knows.
