nofear88
This is a list of tweaks I think Skyrim missed out on: 1.More NPC interaction with one another as seen in Oblivion e.g. Commenting on ther weather, time of night, latest major events - All the dialogue is there when NPCs and guards pass you or you pass them. 2. Sleep idles aswel as Player actually lies down to go to sleep as seen in the "See you Sleep" mod for Oblivion. I noticed that NPCs dont move at all when they lie down. No slight leg movement, breathing eyes at all. They have it for Oblivion so why not the "supposly" more realistic Skyrim in regards to this? 3. Bigger and better Legion and Stormcloak patrols and mini skirmishes, Read someplace that the Legion has better defense but the Stormcloaks have better offense. 4.Fishing, you see the fish, you see the fishing rod/pole but you have to physicaly get in the water and swim up to the little fishs and they automatically turen into chunks of meat. Where is the skinning and gutting? 5. Shooting stars at nighttime. Skyrim has crystal clear night skys, with the Auroras aswel as the HD Galaxy retexture I am enjoying. Eben throw in a twinkle in one of the stars now and again, make the Sky animated as we see the Aurora. 6. Revisit Oblivion! Nothing beats another Oblivion crisis! Dagon wants another shot at Tamriel. 7.Revamp the Dremora, they look like painted Dark Elves crossed with goats! 8. Sheep, black and white cows, guars (right next to Morrowind afterall.) 9. VIKINGS!!!! 10. Return to Atmora, the original homeland of Man. Let the Empire reclain its ancestral homeland for mankind.
calyps
Some of these are more ambitious than others. I can see 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8. Number one would require recording dialogue and since most NPCs are voiced in some way or another already that would lead to a disjointed feel. As to 6, I do not miss Oblivion and am glad to have it behind us. Number 9 is kind of the point of the game. Number 10 seems like it could be a future DLC (though I doubt it). I very much like the idea of sleep idles, such as turning over, small movements like their dreaming, I love touches like that. I like the falling stars as well. That could definitely be done and done well to the benefit of the feel of the game.
vardath
I like the fishing idea, in fact most of those are good. How about instead of an Oblivion remake we go with an Aedra realm make where you visit various realms of the gods and do quests for the individual gods themselves in their realms. Maybe various realms of Oblvion as well but not the same as we saw in Cyrodiil, make it something like each realm of Oblivion suits the nature of the Daedra living there. Also have some low level retextured dragons with annoying squalks and you'll have those things that bugged the hell out of you in Morrowind. nofear88
Oh yes, 11. More Wildlife diversity. The Falcons/Eagles seen flying high above Solitude/Forever Alone City are vuage and... have a crappy model in them as they look like something out of Morrowind (the game) standard. Also add rats to the Sewers, I know skeevers are rats per se, but scale them down and make them passive to add regular rats. Birds in general would be nice. Ravens, crows, seaguls, bluebirds, sparrow hawks... anything to add to the generic life of Skyrim. Whales located in the Ghost sea, penguins located along the coast and Nord Inuits?eskimoes who like in igloos? A true tundra, with Yetis!
vardath
A Sload City in the north sea. Whether it be done with a dungeon or have some surface dwellings as well... Possibly even a playable Sload race.
nofear88
Sload? those Toady, lumps of blob people? Slow to do things but excel at Necromancy? They are from the South right with the Maomer?
nofear88
12. Random Werewolf encounters. You encounter werewolfs in the remote areas of the maps such as the tundras, hills and mountains like the passes and have a chance of catching Lycanthropy. I really disliked you having to go through many quests to attain it. Its treated as a illness so it can only be cured say gathering incredients such as hagraven feathers, human heart to represent regaining your lost humanity, essence of Sliver since werewolfs hate it for somereason and could be used to kill the inner werewolf and add any other rare ingredient? vardath
Agreed about the werewolf thing nofear, sounds good. Sloads in the south? Maybe leave them for the next game then, hopefully it will be in Elswyr or Black marsh, or both. However, if anyone has a good idea on how to model these creatures as characters and give them appropriate skill sets please do.
