Serious posts when banning people

Speaking as a realist, this is bound to be seen as a hostile "STICK IT TO THE MAN! YEAH!" post by some, but it is one I feel necessary to express. I'm not entirely sure whether this post will be appreciated, but since this is the feedback and suggestions forum, I figure this is my best shot at providing constructive criticism where I feel it is due.

My criticism is in regards to the Forum Rules and Strikes section of the forums, where moderators and administrators post bans and reference posts to the reason. I feel the thread itself is necessary as proof that the staff is doing their job and providing adequate reasons for doing said job. However, the puns and showing-off in some are one of the aspects I don't agree with.

I'm not saying every post is treated like a celebration, but there are many where the reason is provided, and the post-reason comment is simply unprofessional at best.

When some people see puns like "this guy started a flame war, so I PUT HIM OUT!" they cheer a little inside. When I see it, I facepalm. Such dry humor being posted in ban threads is petty and unnecessary. All I ever need to see in order to ensure the quality of a site is that the staff is doing their job professionally, giving out their bans, and tending to business-as-usual.

I don't need to see the symbolic middle finger being thrown out by a staff member for all to see like it's a public execution. That's just petty.
