windhelm house not fully furnished

ive got the windhelm house

trouble is there is still blood everywhere, the enchanting chamber still has bones and crap everywhere, there is no alchemy station and the second bedroom isnt furnished

ive bought all upgrades.

anyone else had this happen?

Nope, It should all clear out when you first buy the house.

 

Sounds like a bug. I hope you have a save game prior to the purchase.

Like Michio said you might need to reload a save from before the purchase. There is a bug with the cleaning the house option, if you don't purchase that option first it tends to vanish from the list of choices. That is what happened to me. So I reloaded and did the purchase over and bought the cleaning option first. That worked. However there is a second part to the quest that involved that house and supposedly the house will be cleaned up as part of the reward. Since I had the house cleaned prior to completing part two of the quest, I don't know if that happens or not.

 

The missing alchemy station sounds like a bug.

 

On the empty bedroom.. are you Thane of that city yet? When you get a housecarl as Thane, the housecarl gets their own bedroom and the furniture for that room should show up with the housecarl. That has been my experience with empty bedrooms anyway.

I have this same problem. I bought the house, then found and finished the quest. I didn't have the gold to upgrade any of it yet so I just took off for more adventures, when I came back and bought things everything was still bloody and there was no option to clean it up. I think theres a bug where if you already own the house before the quest is over it doesn't get cleaned.
