greekrage
After updating nvidia drivers today and went to play i noticed that my pipboy screen was really dark as if it had a burnt screen and you could barely see anything . A quick google search found the fix that was so stupid i could die. Simply open Geforce experience and RE-optimize the game. BlueAngelson
Tho now I can't seem to get wallpapers to work now. It would go dark with a wallpaper but be readable with a wallpaper mod on. Guess I can't have pip boy wallpaper :(.

TheGadget1945
The normal fix for this is to turn Ambient Occlusion off. On the Launch Screen click Options>Advanced>Ambient Occlusion - Off.
steve40
Or change your Ambient Occlusion setting to HBAO+
