maid0flight
Hey yall. I've been struggling to get any of my complexion mods to show up. I've tried several different mods (only ever using one at a time) and all of them are supposed to utilize the third complexion slot... but it never changes! It's just stuck on the vanilla complexion. All my other mods are fine (hair, eyebrow, pjs, etc), but all of the different complexion mods i've tried just wont work.I have the most recent mod manager & the most recent patch as far as I know... Any helpful suggestions for how to get these dang things to work would be very much appreciated!!!
Thandal
Are you certain that you're correctly editing your "chargenmorphcfg.xml" file each time you try a different appearance mod? (Or automagically updating it using the CharGenMorph Compiler?)
maid0flight
the chargenmorphcfg.xml files are only for dao & da2... it's not a factor in dai. All that comes from the mod download are the daimod files, so unless there is some extra step to edit similar files in dai... which no one has ever mentioned in any mod I've seen... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
nightscrawl
You are correct in that the chargenmorph is for DAO/2 only, so don't worry about that. When you say they aren't showing up in the game, do you mean that you have set your character to use the third slot of whatever thing, load up the mod, but the PC still looks as before? Or are you trying to see them in the Black Emporium? Have you tried making a new character to look through the options in the new character creator? While the Black Emporium crashes with those mods, the CC that you use when creating a new character does work, so you can browse through everything to make sure that the new options are in the correct place. However, the game does not play nice after the opening cinematics and you will get stuck in the Fade if you make a character with mods enabled, so only use that for testing. Also, be sure that you don't have too many mods conflicting. Perhaps try one at a time to see if they work individually, first eyebrows, then hair, and so on. Thandal
:psyduck: Sorry, dunno what I was thinking when I mentioned the cgmc.xml. Had DAO/DA2 on the brain, I guess.
maid0flight
I have tried both a character which already has the 3rd complexion slot selected & I've tried to create a new character as well... And yes, I'll install a complexion mod & the character will just have the same vanilla complexion... Since I only have one complexion mod installed at a time, it shouldn't be conflicting with the other mods I have... but I'll give it a try ^^; And don't worry about it Thandal, I figured that was the case lol
maid0flight
I finally figured it out! I had the TEETH mod installed which is apparently not compatible with complexion mods... So i guess we go back to the gross vanilla teeth but thats okay i guess lol
nightscrawl
^ The reason for that is because all of the face textures also have the teeth on them. The game was loading the teeth mod first over the face complexion mod.
