I'm cursing a lot in these days because i'm trying to make a custom companion and i'm getting really frustrated by a problem, but please allow me to resume my steps wich i followed by looking at the famous "custom companion" vi of Seddon wich i looked over and over and over and over..... I'm not a totally noob modder in fact i'm asking desperatly to the the community because material on this argument is very few. So, i think i did all the steps -Unique NPC with the relative factioning- attached the "companionactorscript" and the "workshopnpcscript" and made all the autofill of property.-Made the "allowed repeat stages" quest-Made the actor alias-Made all the dialogue-Made the papyrus fragment, and here is the big problem! In testing phase, my npc says the hello topic correctly, i ask him to follow me and the stage correctly switches from 0 to 10 wich has the "FollowersScript.GetScript().SetCompanion(aaaNewCompanion.GetActorReference())" Line. WICH doesnt work! The Papyrus compiles properly in the quest fragment, i made all my actor alias property. But nothing, the stage sets and the script doesn't work. The npc skips to his stage 10 dialogue but isnt hired, he remains there like a jackass asking me to leave again. I don't know what to do, Seddon doesn't respond in the video and i don't have ANY clue of what could be the problem. Is this happened to someone else too? Thanks in advance to anyone. Ok Solved the problem! Since i was in the beta of fallout, my Fallout4.ini was always updated and missed in the[Archive] settings these options that blocked scripts from functioning!bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= Now custom companion is working flawless!
