Jimiel
There are so many gorgeous and useful mods out there. I wish I were capable of adding to them, but experience has told me I'm not... Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had made or could make a version of the Lucky 38 Presidential Suite with windows? I mean, there's the bright, open Penthouse, the bright, gorgeous viewing area of the lounge... And the completely dim and boxed in Presidential Suite. It's very... Claustrophobic considering it could be open and more airy with windows angled to look down on the strip... Or even a balcony. Anyway, it seemed like an interesting idea someone could take on if they ever had time or desire. Thanks for reading! :)
Cyberman0101
I would love a mod like this but it also has to be aligned with the Lucky 38 Tower so i doubt a balcony is possible, i mean it is possible but would be pretty out of place and wrong. Jimiel
Well, since there are no existing windows we don't know exactly where in the tower the suite is. If you look at the tower, closer to the base there are windows with balcony areas that have guard rails. So it isn't entirely unbelievable that there could be a balcony. Just sayin'. :)
devinpatterson
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had made or could make a version of the Lucky 38 Presidential Suite with windows? For "real" windows, it's unlikely (because it's some work) since the presidential suite is a interior cell and you would have to copy everything to the exterior cell that houses the penthouse and cocktail lounge (it's just got some landscape features but is otherwise empty). But if your talking a fake window (ie light coming in but you can't see any landscape or anything), that should be very simple. Is that what you'd be looking for? Well, since there are no existing windows we don't know exactly where in the tower the suite is. If you look at the tower, closer to the base there are windows with balcony areas that have guard rails. So it isn't entirely unbelievable that there could be a balcony. Just sayin'. Yeah there are a lot of windows in the first half of the lucky38. I don't know how well they line up with the presidiential suits diminisions, but I think that's more of a pedantic concern for most players, pic; http://i1066.photobucket.com/albums/u404/devinlpatterson/FONV%20Mods-works%20in%20progress/lucky38_zpsdotfhsyy.jpg
Jimiel
At this point any kind of window would be nice. It's just so... Dull. Even a completely fake fish tank window throwing in light and having fake, colorful, tropical fish would be an improvement! Yeah, considering the dimensions on a lot of the existing presidential suite mods I don't think people are really concerned with keeping to the dimensions of the building. Me? I'd be happy with brighter, more cheerful colors and some windows. :)
Guest deleted2630050
There is a mod that overhauls the Presidential suite. If that's what you're looking for.
devinpatterson
At this point any kind of window would be nice. OK. I do my modding on the weekend, but I have a request ahead of yours (a ponytail). However when I'm done with it I'll look at installing some windows. The good thing about your request is that the fake windows are really easy to install and any modder can do them, if I don't get around to it. It would be fun to move the interior cell over to the strip so you could look out over the peeps. I think with a modern (say year or two old) pc it could do the strip and the interior cell without a hiccup. I may experiment with selecting everything and copying it, just to see if it will fit in the tower and what effect it might have.
