Forced to walk after NPC conversations

So, with some NPCs, I'm forced into walking after talking with them and I have to toggle myself back into running. It's not hard for me to simply hit the capslock button, but it's a bit bothersome since, with Oblivion, I was able to set myself to running and stay that way. Now, whenever I go from Skyrim to any form of typing, I have to check my Capslock to see if it's on or off.

Does this happen to any of you? Is there a way to turn this off?

I "googled" it extensively, but the closest thing I could find was someone asking a forum for help after their capslock button failed to make them run again, and I'm assuming he was just overburdened.

It happens to me too. Except I use auto walk so after talking I have suddenly running and have to hit capslock to change to walking. It only happens in the scripted talking to NPCs (when you are fixed in place and forced to pay attention). I really hate it.

I figured it was a bug, but maybe it is my keyboard? I'm using a Logitech MK300

Nothing like that happens to me, maybe your fingers hit caps when you tab out of the conversation.

I'm fairly sure that's not it. It happens with the same NPCs every time, and then it doesn't happen with others. I also, when I first started playing, remapped the key to toggle it to something else so that I WOULDN'T accidentally hit it. But, then I realized this was happening, so I moved it back for the easy access.

I talked to a friend who plays, and he hasn't had this happen to himself, even while talking to the same NPCs that cause it for me.

My keyboard is pretty standard. Don't know the specifics of it, but it just.. came with my computer.

I get it all the time. I remapped the autorun to V instead, so I didn't have Capslock randomly on or off depending upon the whims of the Conversation God. Fixing it is so simple I scarcely even think about it.

As bugs go, this one doesn't actually bother me enough to care about. I'd rather my hair stopped sticking out through open faced helmets and colossal ice shards wouldn't remain embedded in my FACE for a couple of hours.

As I said, I remapped from the start, but it still happened, so I moved it back. If you know how to fix it, please share.

Also, I've never experienced either of your other issues..

The fix is just pressing autorun again. :P Which is why it's a bug I don't care about. My attempts to be cool and walk around during scripted dialogue events are always ruined by some random utter fool walking by and throwing canned nonsense at me anyway.

"So you're the new-"

"We're kinda busy talking about important things here buddy."

"-member of the compan-"

"Trying to listen to the plan of action here!"

"-ions? So you what...."

"JUST **** OFF!"

"....fetch the mead?"

"FUS ROH DAH!"
