FallenDev
The "update.esm" should not have ended up on the overwrite folder to begin with any way. Don't edit masters of the main game files.Ohhh...that's why the overwritten files appeared when i used Tes5edit, but i just followed what's on youtube clean the update, all the three dlc... You know, the big problem with things "suggested is? " they conveniently leave out any data, information as to the exact records that are claimed to be In error?..and I have half the mind to post all of that information for each and every game so suggested as dirty just to have something to do. Is there any place for each game anyone has posted these exact records deemed so? I would really like to read an compare notes as to the Validity of the cleaning frenzies taking place. I would also ask where they obtained the source code to validate the suggestions. seriously ! your here because of those suggestions and use of a tool not meant for this but can do it, and all I ever see are complaints about this subject....how about we gather up all the Geniuses and get the acts together , provide the information to support the suggestions then I might believe it is it is indeed valid, as far I as know "Bethesda" has not released the source code any where in the world. Okay I'll keep that in mind...
Purr4me
Just a kind word about what your seeing in Loots suggestions, these inputs are supplied by a user base from some where to their web site "Loot" These are Opinions only. No one user works for the publisher and if the publisher releases data to counter this observation? then we can do something real. you know steam will replace corrupted files,,,files so edited by cleaning, invalidated files...so that means the cleaning processes are not valid inputs from the publishers released data. The CK is the means to replace the code so found to be in error VIA by means of plugins / *.esp record changes for the consumers. That's how it's supposed to work and those files are NOT scanned by steam. Loot has No authority in this matter, this is how it's supposed to work. What happens IF Bethesda decides to use ANTI cheat algorithms and finds the data you paid for has been deliberately tampered with? you loose what you bought, you loose your rights to access your game software, and it also drives you to do other things we don't want to discuss here. Currently VALVE /steam is in charge of distribution and corrective measures...NOT Loot. Not user opinions, and we all know our opinions mean absolutely zero to their design. So ,don't break the game before you get to use it. USE the CK tool kit to fix the data when some one whom claims the data in particular is in error and published the records OR plugs here for us to use. Patches are in the form of an executable or digital down loads for a reason.Advice? ignore cleaning suggestions period as there is no proof to date of any records so listed.
