TobyTravis
Well, off I go to make a thief character then...
vineyard
For me it's more about 90% of the city being scum bags. Don't ever go to Markarth then. Ever. At all. Just quit the Civil War questline for the Stormcloaks and disappear. Maybe go to Cyrodiil or Hammerfell instead. By the time you're done with Markarth you've directly or indirectly depopulated it to the point that the Hague will trial you for crimes against humanity. yep, that city is indeed a s***hole, I end up with 10k bounty on my head after complete the first questline it offered. :wallbash:
Lachdonin
Wait wait wait... You... Like Riften? Really? I find it only on iota less annoying than being a Warrior in those damned Telvanni towers...

Of course I completed the forsworn quest-line and slaughtered 90% of the guards, so I'm not too terribly worried. Heck, I killed about 20-25 of them before I finally was out of potions and too surrounded, so I had to sheath my weapon so I was forced to go to jail. NephilimNexus
Chaotic in a good way? I'd say. I've been looking for a way to root out the guild, get rid of corruption and that Maven character. But to no avail.Continue to do the thieving guild quest line and you might get what you want. I understand that, but what if I don't want to play the double-agent game? Yes, Bethesda gives a choice in whether to really join them or just pretend to in order to set them up for a fall later, and that is all well, but what we don't get is a choice in how we take them down if that's the path we want to pursue. What if my Imperial Orc would rather just find their den and waltz in swinging his battle axe until the Thieves Guild was no more?
