monstermagnet
Yes maybe, but i do not like the whole situation. Lydia is definitely missing, she was not initialized. I will travel to Rifton tonight to see what is the situation with Iona.I fear that Lydia is not the only one missing and i do not want to fix my Skyrim by console. I can fix Problems i recognize, but i have not seen the whole game yet and sooner or later i will miss something..... Doesn't she go back to Dragonreach where she started and you can rehire her there? Edited November 29, 2011 by monstermagnet
kaetzer
hey i'm having the exact same problem... sucks...but now that i see you are ALSO using the breezehome enchanting table mod and the better skill book mod i'm pretty sure it has to be one of those, cause i didnt have the problem before i installed themi will start a new game later without both of them to confirm that, but i wont be able to say which one it was (i just dont want to start a new game TWICE) EDIT:sooo, i checked my theory and it definetly was one of these two modsi didnt even had to start anew, i just deactivated them and loaded a savegame from before the bug occured EDIT 2:i tried to figure out which one it was, by saving right before becoming thane and then testing the two mods one by one, but the bug didnt show up... i dont feel like testing it intensively so i will just leave it hope i could help a bit Edited November 29, 2011 by kaetzer
rickerhk
You want to use prid a2c94 Using placeatme gives you a different copy of the base object, and any scripts on Lydia won't work. If prid a2c94 is giving an error, someone on the Beth forums says go to the Breeze home and do it - that may be her parent cell and will be valid if you are loaded into it. Then enable her. If you have a plugin that changes the Breeze home, it still might not work if there are dirty edits in the plugin. No way really to know until a CK and some tools come out. brawnsun
I just went through this whole ordeal and here's what worked for me, step by step. 1.) In the console type "prid a2c94"--Do this while IN BREEZEHOME2.) Step 1 should have returned (000a2c94)[D]. Type "resurrect (000a2c94)[D]" in the console3.) This should give you a few lines of return code, one of which will say "Lydia is NOT bleeding out."4.) In the Console type "a2c94.moveto player" BAM. Original Lydia, back in Breezehome. This version will return to Breezehome when you dismiss her, unlike any copy make with a placeatme command. I've tried a new game without the said mods and she appeared normally. I do not have the better skill mod though, so I wasn't able to test that. shittakaburi
The problem is with the Breezehome Enchanting Table mod. The fix is in the description. EDIT: This is fixed in v1.4 of the mod. Edited December 8, 2011 by shittakaburi
Dragazhar
This just happened to me. I have not patched the game yet at all. I have a lot of mods running. I was named Thane of Whiterun and assigned Lydia but she never spawned at the entrance of the keep as usual. I tried to type in her id < REF ID > using prid and that id did not exsist at all. I am a vampire if that is an issue, Contracted the disease when I became thane but was still human. I spent 4 days away in a dungeon advancing the disease and came back looking for her in Breezehome. Nope. I have no mods that modify breezehome save for the Dovakin basement which just came out. It was not available in November Im sure. I am using an old save game I save up for starting new characters at Helgen but otherwise have had no conflicts running this guy to Whiterun. Lvled him to lvl 8. so far. No idea save to disable addons and load the save game right before the first dragon battle and see if that fixes me.

EXACTLY PlaceAtMe will create a copy of the npc so thats BS ! to MOVE a npc to your location: 1. open console and select npc with mouse but ofc you don't know where it is so type "prid XXXXX" (where XXXXX is npc refId) but ofc you don't know the refid so you can either: a. save game, load a previous save, select the npc with mouse, take a paper and write down the refid, then load your last save (actually I found out the refid will stay selected even tho you loaded the game) b. find it here: elderscrolls.wikia.com) c. type [help "npc name"] without the brackets witch gives you the BASE id and you need to convert that to the refid so that's not really helpful... now after selecting with mouse or typing "prid XXXXX" you should have the numbers in the middle of the screen 2. - type "moveto player" to move npc to your location (will only work if npc is alive, if its not alive first type "disable" then "enable" then "resurrect 1") - or if you want to go to the npc type "player.moveto XXXXX" (where XXXXX is npc refId) Edited May 2, 2012 by jaxx0rr
