adytum
I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I found myself with the "winters something" quest active from Farkas, at the same time as having the Family Heirloom quest active from Vilkas. No quest markers appeared from FH, but it was in the journal. Long story short; couldn't complete that quest, couldn't start another job. Tried the console with setstage with every getstage value, but nothing happened. Did the Farkas quest, the quest marker is on Farkas but there's no option to complete the quest in dialogue. What can I do? Is there any console command to delete a quest?
DinoGoesRawr
Try to load some save before that quest and make it again.
adytum
That's part of the problem... My previous saves are ancient, since I had played another character for some time. I'm sure I'd lose 100 played hours if I used the previous save.
DinoGoesRawr
Well, I don't know if there is any other solution.

I had the same problem, not being able to complete the quest Trouble in Skyrim (oh, the irony!) even though Farkas had the marker above his head. However, I too had another Companions quest active at the time, and once I completed and handed in that one, the above quest could also be completed.
