Psientist
For .dds conversion the best software I've seen is IrfanView as it has preview windows and let's you convert in batches with all kinds of options. It's probably not the answer you want, but you can always try using that software instead. t0mm06
thanks but not it wont open them, it says 'file format not known/file cannot be found' which is odd because its deffinatly a dds file and the file is right there where im telling it it is :S
Psientist
Some problem when you extracted it then probably. Are you using the Fallout 3 BSA unpacker? It worked fine for me
t0mm06
no i cant use FOMM as i dont have fallout on my comp, and it wont open without me 'finding the fallout directory' so im using this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3117
Psientist
I'm using this one, also stand-alone: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34Works like a charm.
t0mm06
Thanks works brilliantly, although im now having a different problem, i've extracted the studded armour... its not the studded armour, its not got the shoulder pad, the chest piece or the lower part to it... GileadMaerlyn
no i cant use FOMM as i dont have fallout on my comp, and it wont open without me 'finding the fallout directory' so im using this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3117You can use FOMM without fallout, just create a blank falloutNV.exe file somewhere and tell FOMM that's where you installed fallout. And for .dds editing, GIMP with .dds plugin works perfectly. Edited November 27, 2011 by Gilead Maerlyn
