Living Mutant Sea Life

So, Fallout's oceans are a big waste of some great ideas, one of which being mutant sea life. So I'd like to suggest a few ways a person with more initiative and talent than me could bring fallout's oceans to life.

I know a few mods already try to do this, but most of them are Work In Progress and don't fit into the game, mostly due to animating these creatures being a pain in the ass.

So, the most obvious creature to bring to life is the Ghoul Dolphin. Dead ones can be found all across the game, so it's a canon creature that just isn't seen alive, sadly. So, to bring this to life in a way that would feel natural.

  • You need to modify the model. The Ghoul Dolphin model is bloated, because when Whales decompose they fill with gas and bloat, and eventually explode. So if a Ghoul Dolphin was alive, it would have to be a lot slimmer. This would also make the fins
  • It would need a retexture to fit with the modified model, and to make it look less like a decayed corpse.
  • It would need actual animations. The most obvious option (to me) is to take the animation of a Horker swimming and use that skeleton on the dolphin whale. The problem is that Horker's are in skyrim, and I don't know if skyrim animations can be ported to Fallout 4.

If you wanted to do a mutant fish or shark you could use the slaughterfish animations and rigs on a custom model, or you could try to use animation for the Sandworms in Nuka world for it. There's more options with regards to animation, but you'll need a fully custom model.

For a mutant squid (say, using the scrapped textures) you'll need both a custom model and custom animations (likely on a new skeleton unless you got really creative), both of which would be exceptionally challenging. Wouldn't recommend this one.

I don't even know if some of the stuff I'm suggesting is possible, so correct me if it isn't, and even if it was possible, it'd be quite difficult.
