mindboggles
That's a credit to you, not many people have been able to get custom creatures working. The game will do things like turn the creature even without the animation file, part of the trick with turning anims is to match the turning speed set for it in the GECK to sync with the turning anims you've created. See if you can find any Blender tutorials on animation, they might tell you a few things that will help.
uhmattbravo
Well, to be fair, I suppose it's more persistence than anything else. I've been at it for quite a few months now and there's more I know I need to work on still. But I'm still considering today a win on it. Yeah, I've been searching for animation tutorials too. I just keep finding character animation ones that only cover editing existing animations which skips some of the parts I need the most. But I'm still looking. The past few days' progress has done a lot to keep me motivated. Thanks again for the tips.
uhmattbravo
So I think a lot of my issues were mostly caused by incorrect export settings. That includes getting the right stuff to show up in the groups box and the one with the start and end times. Adding the name in the anim text didn't actually do anything productive. I just must have finally found the correct export settings at the same time I tried that. Once I'm fully confident that they're correct, I'll probably post screen caps so the next person has an easier time figuring it out.
