Evilslay3r5
I bought the Solitude home thinking it would be worth the 25,000 gold price. I WAS WRONG. No mannequins, weapon plaques, or display cases! I pay 25,000 and I get nothing! Why!? Someone please tell me there's a hidden room or something with a ton of display cases or something. Edit: Not to mention the cost of the upgrades! That puts it at like 35 grand! Edited November 28, 2011 by Evilslay3r5

AscendedInsanity
It's an alright house (not for the price). My only problem with it is when I save inside the house and load back later all the tables, shelves, and chairs are gone and all my items are just sitting on the floor. A quick reload fixes it but it's so damn annoying.

I can't seem to figure out what I should put where in an easy and convenient manner.

It gets MORE expensive.

Lachdonin
Once fully upgraded, the Solitude house isn't too bad. Its definately the highest 'class' of house. it does, however, lack overall storage. It has a total of 14 containers, 2 armour maniquins, 2 weapon racks, 2 display plaques, and 2 dual weapon-Shield plaques, along with an Enchanters table and an aclehemy table. In contrast, the Makarth house has something like 23 containers, a single maniquin, 2 dual weapon-shiled plaques, two weapon racks, and i beleive 6 dagger cases... Plus, you know... Its Dwemer. None of the houses are really worth the gold you pay for them, but i'd say the Markarth one is the best overall value.
