Somehow. Some way. I think that points to you. Edit: On a more serious note, I've deduced that if they -did- look into the matter, they could just ask a guard who patrols that street if they saw anyone leave their home. They could say yes, tell them what you look like, then find out who you are, and get some thugs to rough you up as such. The only time I've ever had thugs on me was when I stole from a person's home or shop while they were still in the house or shop, and could see me leave or enter. Starch Posted November 28, 2011 Share Posted November 28, 2011 (edited) Hello ! I was clearing a bandit camp near Whiterun. When i exited the cave, 3 "hired thug" showed up and attacked me. I managed to kill them, looted them, and found a contract signed by Olfrid Battle-Born, saying to "show a lesson to that thief". So.. yep i breaked in the Battle-Born house, yep i've stolen many things, yep i pick-pocketted that Olfrid Battle-Born while he was asleep, and yep i understand that he must be very angry. What i am asking is, how the hell did he know it was me ? Everyone was asleep, i didn't get caught, got zero bounty, never paid a fine.. and worst, if i go talk to that guy who signed the contract, i don't even have a line about that, and he greets me as he always did. Do i have to be more careful when i steal things ? Do i have to get rid faster of the stolen goods ? (I'm still carrying (not equipped) the stolen necklace i pick-pocketed from him because i haven't found a not-so-honest vendor yet) Could that he wasn't mad about the items but you playing pocket pool in his pants.
