GaryBB
Like many of you, I have been trying out various shader mods lately trying to find the right balance of mood, tone, contrast, saturation, night lighting and sharpness. I downloaded probably half a dozen over the past week and today I found one on this site. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1752 The saturation is not overly cooked and the nights are just about perfect. Provided you adjust the brightness dead center (in Skyrim options in the game), this is the first mod I've seen where night does look quite real. It adds a lot to the atmosphere. No blue tint. The sharpening effect is, in my opinion, totally spot on. I was so impressed with it that I decided to reinstall Skyrim & clear out any residual files/settings left by other mods and try using just this. It's called "Awesome Shader Suite - NO FPS LOSS by Parsa" I also downloaded texture improvement mods - some of them are extremely well done... but didn't reinstall any of them yet to see how the sharpness settings looked and I believe the maker hit the nail on the head. Just wanted to pass this info on for anyone still experimenting with shader mods. I'm trying to imagine any other game topping Skyrim, and I simply can't. After 113 hours I'm not a bit bored, dissatisfied or disappointed in the least. Those who seem to enjoy flinging criticism may call me a fan boy, which I'm not. What I AM though, is enormously impressed with the mind-blowing level of artistry, detail and atmosphere that Bethesda managed to incorporate into Skyrim. Haters gonna hate, so whatever..... I'd like to see the detractors point out one single solitary game that was released without bugs of any kind. What they may be overlooking, and hence, failing to appreciate, is that Skyrim is complex beyond belief. So, there are going to be issues and not any of them are deal breakers by a long shot. Anyhow, I hope some of you will try this mod. Thanks!

Interesting mod, my question is this, I have other texture mods like the flora improvement, no block faces etc, enhanced night sky and detailed bodies/faces. Would this mod adversely affect them? I do like to add mods etc, but I'm not a expert on the subject, and you did say you reinstalled, so I was curious if I could just literally pop it in right now and just go start playing with it. Hi - this mod appears to not affect any other mod improvements, nor does there seem to be a single conflict that I have seen. What I like, having no knowledge of modding, is that all you need to do is copy the entire file into the main Skyrim directory, NOT the data directory and there is nothing else to do. As I said in my post, I wanted to find out what all this mod affected so I uninstalled and then reinstalled Skyrim -- leaving out all the graphic and texture mods and much to my surprise, it improved the game visually by quite a bit. For example, I didn't need to put the new rock texture mod back as apparently they were already quite detailed....so I was surprised. FYI, I have been using the same mods that you mentioned. No issues. Hope this helps.
