How to simplify the file list

Here is how you should list the files in SkyrimNexus:

Textures.

Stuff.

Thats pretty much what you have here are just textures. I appreciate people taking a week to make a wolf slightly whiter, and making an elemental blue instead of actualy looking like ice....but don't you think that having categories for all of this crap like animals, buildings, armor, ect is a bit redundant when its all just retextures? How the hell is anyone supposed to find any new models/mesh when its going to be filled with textures in all of the categories? I mean most of this is crap, like purple horses and completely out of place garbage my little pony crap that doesn't even have the value, much less the copyright, to even be in an elder scrolls game...and yet there it is.

Seriously, can we have a texture folder for all of the categories so we can find REAL mods and add-ons instead of having to wade through thirteen-thousand pages of crap no one will even look at? See below for an example.

Its only "just textures" because without the Construction Kit, retexturing is the main thing that can be done to the game.

Now, I would agree that the Nexus search and tagging is not all it could be, but you may want to take a look at some of the more established games before you make sweeping statements like this.

Ignore what you don't like and move on. I'm glad to see that people are at least trying to mod this game and some have allready made cool stuff(check Jaysus mod, if you like real looking weapons). Edited by Pushkatu

There is already a tag for new texture mods.

Many of the current mods are by first time modders also. And some will neglect to TAG their mod at all. We do have a procedure for users to add tags to mods. However, not many people bother to do it - including the people who whine about the mods not being tagged.

For tags, click the tag shaped icon on the row just above the description line. The small number below indicates how many tags have been approved for this mod. Any tags set by the author are automatically approved with a 99 rating. Any user tags must reach a total rating of 3 before being approved - note that a user can subtract one from that total as well as add one to it. There is no limit to the number of separate tags that can be marked.

Tagging is not to be used as an approval or disapproval of the mod, only a way to find or filter particular types of mods easier. New Textures is one of the possible tags.

Please help us tag the mods.

Please help us tag the mods.

At one point(a couple of months back) someone made a topic about this and soon after people started to tag mods on a regular basis. I was amazed to find out that most Oblivion mods that where released each day(I don't know how things where/are on the other sites, since I was spending my time mostly on tesnexus) where tagged by the time I checked them out and not just one tag, but confirmed taggs(3). I think that it was related to the activity points feature. I have tagged quite a few filles myself, but with the internet connection I have now, I'm happy I can acces the forums.
