huntsman2310
Since no one has really posted some actual ideas yet, I'll continue with my own. ============================================================ Dragon's (extended) They are majestic, they are awesome, they are also terrifying. Which is true in Skyrim as well. To a extent. It's absolutely exhilirating fighting your first Dragon on your own, just you and your sword or magic arm against a giant winged Iguana. But they have a few niggles with their current state. They're not too varied or exotic. They don't change their strategy's or tactics much. Other creatures aren't as scared of them as they should be. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Types First off I propose that there be three physically different Dragons. - Winged Dragons - Slitherer's (ones that don't have legs or wings.) - Wyrm's (wingless dragons) Each one will have several strengths and weaknesses. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Winged DragonsThe archtypical Dragon, these Dragons will be the most manueverable, being able to fly anywhere and attack from every angle. Strengths - Can fly anywhere, which gives them the greater tactical advantage. Weaknesses- They are a jack of all trades, meaning they can do everything but aren't as good as the other two types.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Slitherers Strengths- Are very fast - They are masters of the Thu'um. - They are very agile and stealthy. Weaknesses - Can't fly - are limited to bites, slams and breath attacks. - aren't as armoured as the other Dragons.------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wyrms (Revised) Strength's- Very damaging - have the toughest armour of all Dragon's - are resistant to magic and elemental attacks. Only cold steel will work. - Can cause other creature's and most NPC's to flee. Weaknesses- Can not fly- Are quite slow- Aren't well versed in the thu'um, they're basically the dumb brutes.- Aren't very maneuverable.----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Types Yep. I said types. I won't go overboard with this by adding acid dragons, lightning dragons, ponie dragons and dragon dragons. No instead there will be three new types added to the mix, they will most likely be extremely rare though. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daedric These Dragons were Jills that were sent to Oblivion by Akatosh for betraying him and humanity. They were the unfortunate ones that got caught. As a result Alduin has raised these insane Dragons as elite shock troops for the apocalypse. They will be black with fire coming from withing. - Highly unpredictable- Can't (or won't?) use the Thu'um, the only one they know is Yor Toor Shul.- Incredibly fast- Are weak to, oddly enough. Fire and restoration spells.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ebony These Dragons are recluses, they have cut off contact with all other Dragons and as such shack up with neitherAlduin or Paarthurnax. They live deep underground, and are hardly seen outside. They will have ebony coloured with some silver thrown in. -A bit slow-Highly lethal- Expert with the Thu'um- Even deadlier with their melee.Weapons below Ebony level will just bounce off their armour.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Red The last two living Red dragons have their lairs in Skyrim. These Dragons were part of the ones who struck a deal with Tiber Septim to help the Empire in its times of need. - HUUGE ones, the smallest will be as big as Whiterun.- Incredibly ancient.- Their breath carries the true word of Akatosh, it will almost instantly paralyse any living thing.- They don't move from their lairs.- You can convince them to aid you in your travels. This will net you a shout that calls down a great firestorm courtesy of one of the Red Dragons.=================================================All I have for now. Stay tuned and post your Ideas. huntsman2310
Forever alone =( anyway. At this point, this thread has become more less a place to store my ideas so I don't forget them. ===================================================== NPC Interaction ----------------------------- Guards - Shouldn't compliment your appearance, thenimmedieately say you look like crap. Should either be one or the other. - Need to mix in some heavy weapons for them. - Give them a varied appearance, I mean every hold uses the exact same kind of tunic and helmet? There should be subtle differences. ----------------------------- Bandits (and other humanoid npcs) - Make them smarter. - make them know when not to attack the dragon-plate wearing hero. ===================================================== Yeah basically this it for this post, why don't you post your own? huntsman2310
Umbra has reappeared! Will you be its next wielder, Dragonborn? I'm starting a mod that will add in Umbra as its own unique weapon, with quest included. Basically it will be a retextured ebony sword with unique effects. The reason it won't have a completely new model is because it is stated in the lore that Umbra can take the form of any bladed weapon.
insanekarma
Very nice ideas!! You are right Dragons are repetitive and use no tactical approach other than, fly, land on roof, flame repeat! I too get annoyed at npcs cursing when they've been nice a few seconds before. Completing a quest for the Jaarl of Solitude, I was greeted with high regard after a quest was completed, then all of a sudden she mutters, 'i haven't got time to listen to your quarrels', or something of that nature! Annoying! Keep up the ideas. Ill think up some to add!

huntsman2310
Now we are up to the bitey, slashy part. ======================================== Creatures Why are Horkers so angry? Why do Bears end up being the swornenemy of the Dragonborn? Where the hell are the sea monsters? Here are my ideas. -----------------------Beasts - Three new types of Canine enemys - Alpha Wolf (Big nasty Wolves, twice the size of dire wolves.) - Fenrikiin (Massive horse sized Wolves that roam the snow wastes of winterhold. Very Dangerous.) - Dwemer Steam Hounds (Dwemer constructs that roam the halls of the former Dwemer Elite. Are a step between Dwemer Spiders and Spheres.) - one new type of Bear. Everythings worse with Bears! - Bjorns (House sized Bears able to take down a full grown Dragon.) - Two new types of Horkers. - Furry Horkers ( Much harder to kill then normal fat horkers.) - Gargantuan Horker (Bonus boss, will live on a iceberg.) ------------------------- Constructs - Flesh Atronach (as a result of not having any protection from the elements or weapons, Flesh Atronachs are fairly weak to most types of magic and weapons, however they make up for it with terrifying speed and strength.)- Dwemer android (Brass coloured constructs that are humanoid in appearance. They have featurless smooth faces, the only features of which are two burning eye holes. Extremely agile and quick due to skates on their feet.)- Dwemer thunder Dynamo (Specialized Centurions that fire massive blasts of lightning from the cannons on their arms.)- Dwemer Tesseract (A mysterious being locked in the depths of the Black City.)-------------------------Falmer - Falmer technomage (These mages specialize in frost and lightning magic, and sometimes summon Dwemer constructs to aid them.)- Falmer reaver (dual wielding melee monstrositys who fight alongside their Chaurus familiars.)- Falmer beastmaster (commands Chaurus and Spiders.)-------------------------========================= Edited December 16, 2011 by huntsman2310
huntsman2310
Now onto locations ====================== New Locations -Dwemer Tunnel Network (A huge network of tunnels that spans undeneath Skyrim, think of the Dwarven deep roads from Dragon Age.) -The Black City (a Dwemer super prison buried deep underneath the sea of ghosts.) -Hircine's hunting ground (the Daedric lord of the hunt's plane, has rolling hills and sweeping plains filled with dangerous creatures to hunt. i'll probably make this as a worldspace.) -Kagrenac's Pride (a massive Dwemer workshop built under the throat of the world.) -Falmergroth (A snow elf city nestled in the mountains west of Solitude.) - Ald'ohgum (A daedric ruin dedicated to Hermeaus Mora located off the coast in a underwater cave.) ===================== These are just ideas for now and will be a low priority next to my armour mod. please post your ideas as well, everything is welcome.
