So I have spent the last few days modding my Fallout New vegas following the absolutely fantastic "Fear and Loathing in New Vegas"-guide. Game ran smooth the first few days, almost a complete absence of any stuttering. What a bliss, I though to my self. Well, that would change. Yesterday I hit a brick wall of issues. These issues mostly included pink squares, big red exclamation marks everywhere, mismatched textures and the sudden inability of running LOOT to sort my load order.
A restart of the game always temporarily solved these issues, but after approximately 5-10 minutes of gameplay and entering a new cell for instance, these problem reappeared.

I use Mod Organizer with FNV4GB launcher, New Vegas Anti Stutter and NVAC. I'd gladly accept any aid I possibly can get.

MODS THAT WERE INSTALLED AFTER PROBLEMS STARTED TO OCCUR:

New Vegas Redesigned 3
(Worth noting as I suspect many will point of potential texture incompatibilities between FCO and NVR3. I installed it to see if it did fix some of <!> issues on some NPCs, and it did actually. Don't worry, I've carefully read how to maximize compatibility with FCO and NVR3 and carefully followed authors instructions.)

NVSR INI FILE CONFIGURATIONS (I followed close instructions on configuring this, but do let me now if there's something out of order):

Load order is messy: Esm (master) should always go first, esp (plugin) after.

NV is know to have all kind of problem with 140 or more mods installed (not necessarily activated). Many people have encountered problem before reaching this limit with some of the symptom you described..

While you might have some experience with playing other modded games, suggest you still take a look at the wiki article "FNV General Mod Use Advice" about some of the peculiarities of this game not covered by "Fear and Loathing" (which I also used and recommend).

In particular it sounds like you didn't take the time to install and test one mod at a time. Just because some guide (no matter how good) lists a mod does not mean it will work with all of your mod choices AND your system. You will have to take the time to do so, either in the beginning or in the middle of your game when something blows up in your face. Some problems can't be recovered from except by starting over. So the question is how much time do you want to lose before doing things the right way?

Thank you all for your help. Seems that exceeding the plugin cap is the culprit. I will now thoroughly go through each and all mods and try to keep myself below 130 plugins at a time :)
