PIPE GUNS REPLACER HELP

how do i replace the pipe guns all together? I want to use some of the pistol and rifle mods I have as replacers. I have no intention of publishing this unless authorized by the original mod creator. i really dont like them and theres way too many, its all i find. i have mods with leveled lists but they never seem to show up, even at higher levels.

Replacing the vanilla assets really just comes down to swapping out files. With the understanding that the pipe guns are probably the most elaborately modded weapons, so you'd have to anticipate what effect that would have on the game as a whole.

In the leveled list, you will find "handmade guns"...Inside that file you will find 3 different "pipe gun" leveled lists.... Replace those with whatever weapons you want to be most common in the wasteland, and it will take care of most of the pipe guns.
Any pipe guns that have already been spawned on NPCs will still be there until those NPCs re-spawn.

In the creation kit, under "Leveled Items", in the categories... If you explore around in there for a bit, you will quickly come to understand how the leveled lists work to assign weapons, clothes, armor, and everything else to the NPCs in the game.

Find the "Handmade guns" list in the "Leveled items" category, and open it up. You will see more leveled lists inside it. (for the different categories of pipe guns)....Inside THOSE lists, you will find MORE leveled lists (for the sub-categories of the different types of pipe guns. If you want to replace most/all of the pipe guns found on NPCs, then replace what is INSIDE of those sub categories with whatever weapons you want. (the more you put in there, the more randomization you will have)

Explore, and experiment with this on your own, and it will all come to you.
