someonenoone11
I want a little diversity in my atronachs but in oblivion, frost atronachs were trash compared to storm atronachs, so I was wondering if it was the case in skyrim too.
ddwmk2002
hmmm i will give you the brief rundown on all the atronachsFire atronach, a low hp summon which does a lot of range damage, used to artilery enemies from far Frost atronach, A high hp, high defense summon which has a lot of close combat skills, but [wiki says it has] has no range attacks, basically your day to day tanker Storm Atronach, the most balanced of the three, combining the traits of both of them having close range and long range skills and a med amount of hp. So to sum it all up, frost atronachs are meant to be used as tankers, fire ones are like artillery, spamming fireballs on the enemy while storm atronachs are the in-between of these three, so its like jack of all traits master of none, if you are gonna....say.... block a narrow passage with a summon or need a meat shield while you heal, you should not be using a fire or storm atronach. if your gonna be say.... trying to hit long range targets, you might not want to use storm and definitely should not be trying to use frost, if your gonna be say.... fighting both long range and close range targets at the same time, then i did recommend storm. oh one more thing, due to its size frost atronachs might get stuck in doorways, use a bound weapon to bandish it Edited November 28, 2011 by ddwmk2002
ddwmk2002
let me add one more thing, if you are fighting fast targets like dragons, dont bother with fire atronachs, they wont hit the dragon unless its standing still, storm atronachs will excel in this situation as lighting attacks hits instantly
