KingRexus
Hello, I've been modding New Vegas after recently reinstalling it and finally getting it to run on windows 10. I've been trying to install texture packs such as NMC's, but whenever I do, I load up my game outside in Goodsprings and the textures appear normal and functional. However when I go inside a building loads of the textures are black and when I try to leave, when I don't crash, the textures start flickering black in random locations. I'm running both NVSE and 4gb NV , and my rig is:Nvidia GTX 980Intel I7 8 core, 4.00ghz16gb of ram256gb ssd with 2tb drive for storage.Any help would be appreciated. dubiousintent
Your system is more than adequate and should not be an issue. This sounds like either of two issues: How many plugins do you have installed and active? There are similar problems when you have between 130-140 plugins active (depending upon your system) and even with too many installed but inactive. Have you toggled "archiveinvalidation" since installing the latest texture mods? Some mod managers need that toggled whenever you install new texture replacements. If you aren't sure how to do this, it's described for the most common mod managers in the "Checklist" of the wiki article "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. As you are just starting with FNV, suggest you read the wiki article "FNV General Mod Use Advice" about some of the peculiarities with this game that you may not be aware of. -Dubious- Edited August 23, 2016 by dubiousintent
KingRexus
I found out the problem. After my computer blue screened (never thought that would ever help me). I discovered that the new Nvidia driver that was released for Deus Ex mankind divided were causing graphical errors and was the reason I blue screened. After reverting back to the previous driver, the game runs perfectly fine with textures and an enb. So anyone that sees this remember DON'T INSTALL THAT DRIVER!!! AndreOfAstora420
Having a similar issue with the AMD Radeon 500 series latest 21.2.2 driver if anyone is having this issue. Reverting to 20.2.2 seems to work fine. Edited February 20, 2021 by AndreOfAstora420
Manwithspicymemes
I'm having this same issue. I think it's an archive invalidation problem, I started having issues when I toggled archive invalidation off and back on. Anyone got a fix?
