Neviros
Is it possible to create a mod that changes Impact into a proc chance instead of staggering your opponent on every cast? This perk lets you pretty much stunlock any mob in the game by dual casting your spells at it. Dragons are a joke with impact as it will interrupt their breath attacks. Having impact proc even just 50% of the time would make Mage combat so much more interesting.
Matth85
Consider it takes e about 50 spells to take down that Ancient dragon, I find it fair I can keep it locked down. Because as soon as he looks towards me, I am dead.
Paresseux
Or you can just don't take this perk :)
Neviros
Or you can just don't take this perk :) I suppose that's one solution. I was thinking more along the line of the archery end tree perk, where you have a 15% chance to paralyze an opponent. Its nice when you get that little bonus and it spices up the combat a little bit. I like the idea of the impact talent. I don't want to give it up completely, I just think that it's a bit over the top with a 100% effect chance. It's as challenging as you want it to be. If Impact bothers you that much, you can opt to simply not take the perk.
