Abramul
I don't have, or want, a TV.
freddycashmercury
WHAT!!!??? Blasphemy!! Just kidding. Actually, except for my soaps and a few other shows, I don't watch much T.V. I prefer good old-fashioned books. I'm not going to turn this into a book thread becaues, well, there already is one. Oh well, am I the only poster who is secure enough in his masculinity to admit he watches soaps? :P
ninja_lord666
Soap opera = life draining spawn of evil. The producers preform satanic rituals to conjure up evil demons to ad hypnotising properties to their shows which draw in anyone unlucky enough to stumble upon one and not change the channel immediately. Before long, the lives of the viewer revolve around said shows, and all they talk about is that show. Meanwhile, the show's ratings are through the roof causing the producers to be rich. Now I won't argue that money isn't a good thing, but when one has to release a blight to get it, that's too far. Cutting salaries, increasing prices, that's fine, as long as you don't completely and totally destroy the lives of millions.I pity that you fell under the spell; it's even harder to break than the hypnotising evil of pyramid schemes. I think I know just what you need to do. First, buy a ticket to an Antarctic tour cruise ship. Then, as you're passing by the frozen wasteland, jump out. swim towards the shore. If you don't die of hypothermia, the cold air when you get on land will undoubtedly freeze you where you stand. If you're not quite dead yet, wander around; you're sure to die from that. If, by some strange twist of fate, you don't die, and find one of the many science research labs, live with them for awhile. The freezing cold will keep you focused away from the televised evil, so that if you do ever make it back alive, you won't feel the need to watch it anymore. But be warned! Never watch them again after that, or else you'll have to repeat the procedure, and if you survived the first time, luck probably won't work with you again, and you'll die.Or, if you want to do all that and/or don't have the money for all that (you think those tickets are cheep!?), then just shoot yourself. That'll do the job, too.
freddycashmercury
No, soap operas are good because the producers told me they are. Also, my life does not revolve around soap operas, I only spend 23 hours a day thinking about them, so ha! Although, that Antarctic trip does sound refreshing... Just kidding! I am easily bored and accidentally watched a soap opera one day, and got hooked. Apparently, no one here likes soaps, but I understand. Heck, I watch them almost every day and I don't like them. Oh well...
ninja_lord666
I am easily bored and accidentally watched a soap opera one day, and got hooked. That's how it always starts! There are better alternatives: video games! Video games are forged with the pure essence of a dead angel. Of course, game makers have to kill the angel to get the essence... My point is, video game = life improving goodness.
Septim741
I don't watch soap operas. I've seen a few episodes of All My Children while on break (quite a few) but when I'm in school I don't get home until after it is off.
Malchik
Oh lordie, lordie I don't watch soaps. I have too much to do to want to be beholden to the tv. I do watch tv occasionally but I never record anything to watch later. I get really angry at things which are in more than one part and don't make it clear from the outset. The chances of me seeing the second part (or others) are far too remote to make me want to see the first. So, sorry, no soaps for me.
