OBLIVION GAME NOT WORKING!!!! PLZ HELP!!!&

ok, yesterday oblivion was working just fine. However today when i open oblivion, and i get to the main menu all the options have white boxes around them (and my pointer also has a box) and when i manage to click 'continue' or 'load' it shuts down and sends an error report.

 

I recently downloaded the latest version of oblivion (1.2) and now it's not working, could this be the problem... i fear ill never play oblivion again... :confused:

If you haven't already tried this I would suggest following the link that I've posted in this thread (http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=41082). It shows you how to remove every trace of Oblivion from your computer (follow it exactly), and works a lot of the time (there are a few exceptions). Also, before you uninstall back up all the game files and or mods that you want to keep.

P.S. Oblivion is full of bugs/errors, so there's a very high chance that someone's run into your problem if my fix doesn't work.

Wait..the latest PATCH or GAME?!?

Of course It's patch 1.2 (1.2.0416). It's not mod-friendly at all. When I patch my games I always make sure I have a clean install of the game.

 

Or, if I'm wrong, It could be that you downloaded a mod, which bugs other mods, which bugs the system, which bugs the game :biggrin: .

 

Or, it could've been that you fiddled around with the files.

Did you download the patch from an official site?
