Jibbiee
Hey everyone, This morning I turned on the Ambient Occlusion option that is now available for Skyrim via the new nVidia drivers, and it looks stunning. Best graphical enhancement yet. I am having a problem however, and I was hoping someone could help me correct it. All of the new shadows that Ambient Occlusion creates now flicker a bit every time I move, so when the game is in motion, it is almost as if everything is shimmering. It is very annoying and troublesome. I have LOD bias set to clamp and forced High Quality 16X AF in the control panel, but still no luck. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks,
thc002
Did anybody find a solution to this? (without turning off AO) :psyduck:
scruples
This is what happens with SSAO because it is 'screen space' you can try playing around with the settings but there will always be some jittery-ness, even crysis 2 had some AO jitter and it was built into the game. edit: HBAO (horizon based Ambient Occusion) used in BF3 is supposed to fix the jitteryness so hopefully nvidia will add that feature to the driver or ever replace SSAO with it or maybe even someone will create an injector....ENBseries?.
