SkyrimHelp
Hi Everyone, As the title suggests, that's the specific error I keep getting. It has started since the DRM patch, and no matter what I have done so far, I haven't been able to fix it. Some things I tried:- Deleting TESV and verifying integrity of game cache- Uninstalling the game and reinstalling it- Loading it up directly from TESV or Skyrim Launcher (which results in "Application load error 3:0000065432")- Having steam in offline mode- Deleting some specific Steam file (forgot name) and having steam download it on startup- I even tried to download that 4GB patch and installing it but no go (I have since uninstalled and then re-installed, so technically the game should be unmodded currently) I can't run the Windows 7 specific fixes as I am running Windows XP I'm running:- Intel Core i7 2.67ghz- 2552mb RAM- ATI Radeon HD 4870 Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Edited November 28, 2011 by SkyrimHelp

PowderdToastMan
when you do the uninstall, it does not remove your ini files from your save games folder. Re-installing doesnt change that. If it is ini related, remove all your files from the saves games folder and it should generate vanilla ones from your skyrim folder when you startup and create a new save game for the first time. To startup your first game you MUST be online with steam and not use the TESV but the launcher.

Ok, so I removed the Save folder, the Skyrim.INI and the SkyrimPrefs.ini and I'm still getting the same errors. What am I doing wrong? (I didn't uninstall and re-install, is that what I'm supposed to do?) Also, does that mean that my characters are gone or can I save them somehow? SkyrimHelp
I have removed the whole save folder, all the .INI files from the skyrim folder. I then tried the "re-install" option from the CD, didn't change anything. I then made sure that all the files were gone (which they were) unistalled Skyrim and then re-installed. Didn't solve the problem unfortunately.

Raz3rfr3ak
Ok here is how I fixed it I got a skyrim crack file which gives me the tesv.exe, SkyrimLauncher.exe, atimgpud.dll and binkw32.dll files. Copy them and replace them with the ones in the skyrim folder where the tesv.exe and launcher are and replace them. You will be able to play in full screen now. But this will put it back to version 1.1 .......where gonna have to live with it till they patch and fix this. Raz3rfr3ak
Alright im sorry about that link, if i can ill find another or ill get the files and upload them one but, all you have to do is find a SKyrim crack only torrent and then you replace the cracked .exe files which will be a version that worked for us like 1.1 or 1.2 some say stay away from 1.3 version because thats when a lot of promblems started Edited February 5, 2012 by Raz3rfr3ak
buddah
Do not post links to game content, this is the only warning you will get. It is promoting and advocating piracy, and will not be tolerated. Buddah
