Landscape texture problem

The mods I have that I believe affect landscape textures are:

Unofficial Oblivion Patch 1.4.0

QurlTP3

Bobmarkinson's Reduced Texture Pack Lite

Everything looks really good at all resolutions - trees, brush, plants, racks, water - all is perfect.

But the ground is all repeating tiles containing identical bands of wild color.

Can anyone think of what this might be?

Thanks

Yep, your videocard crapping out on you, texture packs are designed for people who have monster videocards. That 256mb card that Dell gave you as part of a package isn't gonna cut it.

See the colorful patterned ground in this shot? Its everywhere in my game. ALL else is fine.

Yes I do only have 256 RAM on my GPU - Gforce 7600GT - but it rendered full landscape before. Also it's a CyberPower computer (not a Dell) and I picked the card after reading tons of reviews when it came out - it's been a nice card for the last 14 months but it will see the door as soon as my tax refund comes in.

Is it possible a texture or a mesh has been over-written?

I take it back, it probably isn't a memory issue, that's clearly a texture of some sort being shown. A mesh being overwritten would only make sense if it was only one kind of terrain affected. Since it's pretty much all the terrain, it's more likely something either conflict related or something else screwed up with the game. Can you get a better picture of the texture? I can't really tell, but it looks like a LOD texture of some sort. If you have SI installed and the texure has features similar to the City Isle, you may have other issues. What part of Bob's texture packs did you install? Does this include land textures or LOD textures?

I hope this screenie looks better enough to help my cause.

I put in Qurl Texture Pack 3 then on top of that added the Reducer Lite which is the first in order of the three Reducers you're supposed to add, if I understand correctly.

Then, I was adding Exnem's body and Natural Faces and somewhere this occured.

Oh and Rhianna too but these would not affect this?

When I remove and add back OMODs in any order this is still there.

Had to manually install Exnem's body cause the OMOD didn't work that time - listed no conflicts but didn't work.

How can I find out if the TP3 or the Reducer have LOD material?

Thanks, SB

Well, using omods would explain it somewhat. When using OMODs you aren't notified when files get overwritten or conflict, it merely installs one over the other without any sort of message. Worse still is when you go to remove or even disable the OMOD, the linked files get removed, even if they were overwritten or were still needed by the game to display things properly... It's best to just learn how to install manually, and never use the OMOD format. OMODs just cause too many issues when they deal with replacers of any kind.

As for fixing it, I havn't the slightest, since it is every ground texture, it's something with one of the mods that is broken. If logintodownload's suggestion doesn't work, you may just have to reinstall and try again with a new character.

Thanks very much, I do think I get the picture.

I'm going to over-write the Data folder with my original saved version (this is my system in this case) and re-install my mods - manually this time (I use Mod Manager because I'm lazy), probably without that texture pack this time.

Best to you all,

SB
