Heavy Stuttering Outdoors

Hi people. I'm having a problem. My game is getting some serious stuttering in outdoor areas, mostly when I try to turn around. It freezes for like 2 or 3 seconds, and then it runs smoothly for a few more seconds just before freezing again. Even if I look back twice without moving, it still freezes. Running forward without moving my camera seems to keep it stable, but it still freezes every few steps. Looks like it's taking too long to load the resources. It's not low fps, the game runs decently most of the time, but this stuttering is making it unplayable. In indoors it works fine.

 

Talking about mods, well, my mod list is huge. I have over 400 active mods, and more than 100 esp's merged. I'm not using any big HD textures overhaul, except for the official HD pack, and some mods with heavy resources like Climates of Tamriel, Realistic Lightning and FX, JK Skyrim, Sexy (city's and towns), CBBE, Skyrim Flora Overhaul, SG Female Textures Renewal and Fine Face Textures for Men. I also have a TON of weapon, armor and spell mods. That's a lot of resources, but I'm pretty sure that the game started working this bad just a few days ago. It wasn't that unplayable before.

 

I'm also using ENBBoost with default settings, except for UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics, UseDefferedRendering and EnableProxyLibrary. I'm using ProjectENB preset, but it doesn't seem to be the problem. Even without effects, the game freezes a lot. I also tried to reset my Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini, but didn't change anything. Also, I have the SKSE memory patch with default settings, and the "Crash Fixes" SKSE plugin.

 

All my textures are clamped at 2k with the optimization tool (except for those inside BSA's). Anyway, I always try to download the 2K version of mods. I could try to reduce them to 1k and see if that helps, but once I do that there's no coming back. I can't make a backup because my HD space is very limited. That's why I want to know if there's any other possible solution before doing that.

 

Oh, and my PC is crap: 6GB Ram, AMD Phenom 2 X2, Gforce GTX750ti oc.

Are you sure your VRAM isn't getting filled up by the game? What 750ti you have the 2gig version or the 4gig one?

Well actually it's getting filled as soon as I load a game. PerformanceMonitor reports 2000MB of VRAM used, and 3000MB of RAM (800mb from TESV.exe and 2200MB from enbhost.exe). My 750 is the 2GB version. So is that the problem?

Yes as soon as your VRAM is filled the frames go from 60 to 0 it happens with every video card it can be a gt 210 or a Quadro. The solution is deceasing the texture resolution. 4gig video cards should handle Skyrim with 2k textures. So for your 2gig card 2k textures are just too much. You can try setting EnableCompression=true on ENBLocal.ini to see if that helps.

As Jones177 said in another post, the problem was VSync. Disabling it from the Skyrim and ENB ini's and enabling it from NVidia Control Panel fixed most of the stuttering.
