SilentAegis
As the title says. Here's what happened: I went outside of Whiterun and circled around. I found and defeated an enemy from the Inferno mod series. Then I went inside a building from the Mad Masker mod, a mod I've had in my game for almost as long as I've had the game. I went inside, bought, upgraded, and enchanted some items and finally left. I proceeded down to a nearby bandit camp and attacked it. My follower got killed by accident. Went right in front of me while I was swinging. I reloaded a save which was back in the Mad Masker building. I attempted to go back outside. Crash. I reloaded and teleported myself to Riverwood's inn. I attempted to go outside. Crash. I reloaded and disabled autosaves. I attempted to go outside again which resulted in another crash. I reloaded to a save before I ever entered the Mad Masker and bought the items again. I went back out and headed for the camp. A few minutes later, I crashed again. Now, there's no way that the Mad Masker mod, yes while old, affects exterior cells or its items. But in a last ditch effort, I uninstalled the mod and loaded up my game. My saves then started crashing. I reinstalled the mod and my saves stopped crashing, but I still can't go outside. If curious, I do use LOOT, my mod organizer is MO, I have FNIS, I use Wyre Bash, I have Tes5Edit, I have ENBSeries, though I do not use an ENB. I have the memory patch and safety load. I'm also playing on a new game I started not one month ago. My save game is currently at 13,439KB. I'm at a bit of a loss. I've never been good with fixing cell crashes, so I thought I'd ask here. Your time is appreciated. I apologize for the long post, but I felt that the more details I gave, the better the chances of fixing this more quickly. mangarian
What I do in those issues.Make sure your auto saves are turned off like fast travel , after sleep and after so many minutes is turned off.REASON: when the game has a lot of activity in a battle and the game does an auto save sometimes it has a bad save, you can google that topic on your own. 1. Verify you game files via steam2. run loot. if you use that ( I use NMM and loot all the time)3. run FNIS4.1 try loading your save, if that dont work try loading an earlier save, and so on till one loads4.2 try loading a earlier save that was a silent spot indoors, once in game then load that last save you made.hope that helps, then start manually saving in locations prior to heavy game play before and after critical spots. advanced:If you got random cell crashes that could be a task hunting down a mod that causes that to happen during loading a cell your moving into like armor or quest or even encounter mods spawning stuff. Also if your afraid to lose your progress there are "game save cleaners" they are my last resort to remove abandon scripts or arrays stuck and running in game saves. but that is a last resort risk for me. SilentAegis
Hello and thank you for replying. Unfortunately not much progress was made. I already did disable autosaves. I ran LOOT and FNIS. Steam re-downloaded 5 files. I then loaded up the game. Once I did, I made sure to save and attempted to leave. I loaded outside with success and proceeded to head to the Bannered Mare. Crash. Maybe this will help. Here's what my SKSE.ini says. Apparently, the patch wasn't fully activated. I was missing a line of text. SilentAegis
No progress. What I've tried so far: Cleaning master files. Dawnguard had leftover records.Reinstalling ENBSeries. Got the latest version and I'm using the Wrapper version.Updating USLEEP.Updating driver. I just remembered. I had a problem just like this a few months back. And I think I did make a thread about it. I'll scour the forums and Steam to see what the fix for that was. I will also continue going through the list. SilentAegis
Found the Steam thread. Apparently, I fixed it by ensuring the Left pane of Mod Organizer matches the Right one. I'm not sure how that could start causing crashes in game all of a sudden, but I will try that. Edited August 27, 2016 by SilentAegis
