SirTalbot
Something akin to Settlements from New vegas. I would like to become a Lord and build an agricultural and industrial base to form my own Kingdom and take over Skyrim. Could play an RTS but none of that would have the same first person interaction that Skyrim could offer.
xweto
My favorite mod is a mod that makes the player actually say his dialog and also does something like this: http://oblivion.nexu....com/mods/12588 It would be THE most populair mod on the nexus!!! smarte
My draeam mod would be a mod, that turned your hands/armes into claws when you had a melee weapon drawn. Like the wearwolf claws, scaled down to more humanlike size. So that when you presed "R" you hands/arms transformed in to claws, and hid the weapon you wear holding. And used the wearwolfs attack animation, but the weapons damage and speed.
modsrkool
I'd love to see a mod where I can press keys like 1-9 or any of my keys on my keyboard and it would cast a spell for like a warrior or mage. and an awesome action bar to go with that :D
Lilazzkicker
Honestly? My dream mod idea for Skyrim? A TC, using the Skyrim engine and whats already in place and making a Fallout mod.. basically turning skyrim into a giant wasteland. I love Skyrim, and wish FO3 had the scope/scale that Skyrim has. I would not have a clue on exactly where to start with such an ambitious project. Edited August 1, 2012 by Lilazzkicker
johndud0
Another dream mod would be toxicity levels for potions and poisons to player, like in the witcher games. It would make it so alchemy isnt overpowered and more fun to use since it would be more of a challenge. Below are examples from both witcher games, i like toxicity in the witcher 2 better: Witcher 1: http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/The_Witcher_character_statistics Witcher 2: http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/23107/how-does-potion-toxicity-work-in-the-witcher-
daventry
Err, do Dream Mods eventually get being made.
MATAandEYE
My Dream Mod would be........... The Evil Dead MOD. I believe skyrim is the perfect environment for the flashback to medieval times. This would take a collabaration modders i bet. -Player arrives in Helgen with a amputated hand then the quest goes on, he gets his shotgun, then he finds the chainsaw, and throw in the necronomicon ( this should be put on a harder quest). -There could be animations or gear to make a Bruce Campbell look a like. -Would be awesome to see him chainsawing his mobs down (maybe keeping the extreme violence a tad low and leave it to decapitation or hole thru chest. Leave violence option preferrred.) I would imagine new death moves for it would be pretty sweet. -DIalogue would have a Duke Nukem kind of remarks on certain quests, but with Bruces voice overs. -He should have a option for shotgun upgrade from full double barrel shotgun to the upgrade sawed off shotgun. Animation would be changing the arrows to pellets to a similar spread of targets and increased area spread with upgrades(add option for slow motion per shot to follow target). -The shots and chainsaw deflects to the armor would matter. So players would have to be careful fighting fully armored opponents. -There could be anims to make the mobs head explode on zombies. -Now im not about making this game cheap. Lets put a New Vegas style addition to it. Make the ammo very limited and can be only acquired by questing and have the ammo/fuel placed at treasure boxes at the end of dungeons. -Even better, add a mod that would put a imprisoned/chained up female or male companion(make a companion mod compilation maybe?) at the end of certain dungeons to add to the reward effect for questing. Im all about crowd sourcing ideas. Nice topic! I understand there are copyrights so maybe a generic version would suffice? Also is the Skyrim engine and New Vegas not to different? Could you just pull over the animation data and plug it into Skyrim for scrippting? This is my first post and i just want to say hi and that the modding community here is primo! If Great job to all of you. If you want more ideas for this just ask im all about having this dream Mod come true. I really wish i had the time to learn how to program. kingdark
My dream mod would be fairly complex I think. First the mage system would be changed so mages actually feel STRONG. I'm talking about mage focussing players though so those should be changed to have more magicka but have a lot of penalties when it comes to close combat to balance it out. Some of my requests already exist but not in a combined mod that doesn't conflict with each other. so I'm not sure if this is a weird version for a mod that fuses several others together. - More dragons to emulate the feel of an actual attack (Exists in a few forms.) - Custom images for specific potions, more sword & weapons in general. More armour and better looking mage robes with appropriate enchantments. (Don't know about this one.) - More spells and balance the spells so that some of them can be 'permanent' in exchange for a constant drain on your magic (Don't know about this one.) - A strong form of realism. A need for food, water and rest. (Already exists) - A more obvious form for the civil war (already exists) - More wild animals so that a hunter can actually feel they are hunting something. Maybe something that leaves some kind of clue if an animal lives in the area. For a pack of wolves there could be more dead animals as you come closer to their 'cave' .... Or something (Don't know about this one) - I want to actually feel that horses are a FAST way of travel if you don't like fast travel. So I want something that makes them absolutely superior compared to even the fastest sprinter. And let's be real about it. No human being can possibly keep up with a horse at its fastest. Hell, a hours could keep up a relatively high speed for hours before tiring. - A way so that you can equip an item that represents the map of skyrim. It would be very hard to see at night without a source of light around. - Speaking of light, I want the nights to be more dark and to be more dangerous. I want a number of animals/creatures to be out at night who don't spawn after a certain time. These animals creatures would need a script of some sort that would tell them to go back to their cave to rest only to 'exit' again,. So if the player were to find these caves and... remove its inhabitants then it would take a while (say a week in game) before a new (weak? young?) version would be spawned again. This creature would then breed slowly and get stronger as well. So the next time you end up visiting it again you have another fight. - I want to feel more at home at skyrim when I play as a thief. Shouldn't a noble or a rich man have GOLDEN or SILVER cups? Something that is worth a lot of gold? I want to see nobles have a safe of some sort that is being carefully guarded. The same goes for stores. I want to see some sort of chest that keeps all their stuff/gold there that I can steal. The chests should be (very) hard to open, expert level probably. (that's the one above the last one right?) (master) - Detailed blood / wounds. If I'm injured I want to see it in my stats. I want to limp instead of walk until I manage to sleep in a bed or perhaps go to a healer that is capable of healing your wounds. Even then it might be possible that some wounds linger like a particular stubborn poison. It would force you to be careful or to hang around a city until you recovered completely. This could of course be worked around by simply waiting but I would prefer for this to be optional though. - I want to be able to rent a companion to warm my bed to keep it somewhat cryptic. Then after a while this character could come to me and confront me that she's having a baby and that she wants xxx money (connected to your level and charisma probably) or even get married. This would be in combination with another mod that you can become a Jarl of a city so that if she marries then she would become the lady of the Jarl. The reverse could also be true that you, as female character could get pregnant after a hired night with another Jarl. You could then blackmail him in marrying you. The child would probably be an item at first, or perhaps an in game time skip. It could age the character appropriately until the child reaches the age of those in skyrim. - I want to have some form of steady income. I could 'buy' a store and leave the characters selling stuff but every x amount of time they would deposit a number of gold in my pocket whenever I visit their city or their shop. - I want a home in Riverwood. It's the place I work form all the time so I would really like a player home there. Perhaps an underground base that is connected to the stormcloaks. It could be newly discovered and both factions could be exploring it forcing you to side with either in expelling the other. At the end you would find treasure and would eventually be given the location as a gift. - A better lock pick system that gives you a clue where you last tried to pick. Perhaps something that prevents you from trying too many times. The lock can be broken and you would need to wait some time before the owner fixes it again and improves the lock at the same time, thus increasing the difficulty. - More monsters. More animals. More, BIGGER animals & monsters. More vampires & werewolves. - Weather system that affects you. Snow gives you cold damage, forcing you to build a camp fire, rain a tent and so forth. Last but not least I want a race bred, trained and BUILT for the purpose of a pure mages built. Bigger natural reserves while having a lower health. The perk points would all be decreased to ten or even five except the magic branches wihch would get a boost. In fact, the player should be able to decide in game which value he starts with under what star images. ---------I know that many of these things already exist but some of them conflict with each other. I already have most of them. Not all of them but some of them. It would be really cool if someone could make a mod that takes the mods that already exist, fuses them and then add or create the stuff that doesn't exist just yet. If an awesome idea is liked enough then it might be get enough interesting for modders to be getting together; Kingdark
