reaper9111
I second the post above, if someone is to take the task, it would need to be advailable for both gender...We all know the sex mod are outthere, the only thing about it is sex... This mod idea here aint about sex, is about "love"... I agree with Tracy, the whole marriage idea in Skyrim was very cool, but it has been too quicly done, no deepth, no immersion, No love !I wonder if any girl would accept a gold necklace and marry me right away in real life... As i said on an other post on the same topic, there's a compagnion mod, Cerwiden or Vilja, that has a Hug animation, this can be a good start ! Reaper Just on the hug animation that's part of vanilla Skyrim so anyone can use it if you know how... but for some reason unknown to me Bethseda did not use it (or it's used somewhere I haven't been yet.) This mod idea is right up my alley and I would take it on but I am already working on my own projects which I have committed to so it will be weeks before I can even start planning how this mod could turn out. However if this request is still up at that time I will gladly take this on.

Petemichaelbabicki
Just get rid of the dumb dialogue they take up as a wife. It's so general and cliché. It's completely out of character for Aela 'the Huntress' to suddenly start kissing your arse and baking you cakes once you're married. I like the idea of adding more idle markers and things for them to do, but pregnancy is a bad idea, just because of how time works in Skyrim. Even skipping a day with the built in 'wait' function takes its sweet time. I doubt their are many players here that have played 9 months of game time. Another downside to that is that even if you did get pregnant, or get your wife pregnant, then have a kid.. would they grow up too? If so, you'd need to age every single NPC in the game, including your own, otherwise it wouldn't make sense. Stick to adoption, kids are annoying anyway. All the other ideas I support 100% +

Another example is Muiri, who's wooing involves two cold blooded murders and then turns into a Stepford wife. Few more ideasLedger diary- spouse write a dairy which tells what they do when you aren't around (may be locked, so must be lock picked to read)if spurned/ ignored the home made meal is poisonousrefusal to move if they have a business unless you pass a tough speech check. BotOwned
Alright so I've read through all the comments, but, unfortunately, I am not a modder. I've seen some great ideas. This is really awesome! But. Like someone said, if you're getting your husband/wife to go outside, play around, etc., then you've gotta do some different pathing for each city, because each city is, of course, very different. Now, of course, one might say "Oh, someone could make a different mod for each city!" That just might be crazy enough to work. But, that's extremely tough. I know, because I get confused going through the creation kit tutorial (yeah I kind of suck, I'm working on it..!) Now, that problem may be solved by having different people make the mods for each city, but then you've got different styles of modding that might interfere with any mods you have, and too many mods are going to mess up your game. I mean, however someone wants to do it, that's cool. I'm just kind of writing my thoughts. Now the cheating/lover/sex/romantic/cute stuff, I agree with completely. Those comments made my day. A pregnancy mod would be very interesting. Someone, in an attempt to debunk this idea, said that you'd have to start aging them. Not true. Cities respawn, but what is respawning, really? It's basically just aging. So, if you're away from home long enough, your child grows up! Again, just thinking on this one. Also, if there are any mods relevant to what we're scheming here, soemone link them so we can get a bit closer to our dreams. It's not necessary for pathing to be done to each city specifically by using radiance (Using it in Bethesda's sense of the word) you can apply one quest to many cities as they all use similar keywords, reference types, and all have patrol paths. It would be just a matter of working out which paths would be best to use, also what your spouse should do. It's also possible to make a Radiant package allowing the spouse to make their own decisions on what they wish to do for the day instead of a fixed schedule(This is something I have been applying to a project I have been working on for radiant NPCs which is to be an extension of my other mod Dynamic naming.) But in saying all that it's not something I can do currently as well, Dynamic Naming is in need of an overhaul and so I am focusing my spare time into that, I did say I would do this before and I still hope to do so but if someone else would like to try doing this I don't mind assisting where I can. ElvenHeroine
Bah, I know right? it's a bit silly, they're like... a robot. I honestly couldn't make myself marry any NPC, it just felt evil, like stealing their soul. Because it does! they just... stop being who they once were as soon as you marry them, like making them into a zombie. I genuinely was freaked out by it. One (glaringly obvious) suggestion I would make though would be gay/lesbian marriage. The fact that this didn't feature at launch irked me a bit. Why this should feature is pretty obvious: whatever be your reason for wanting to do so, you should have same sex marriage as an option, in game and real life. People are all people and love's the same regardless of what gender the two parties are. And furthermore a lot of people I'm sure carry their real-life prefferences into the game subconsciously, I for one may play as a female character, but that's mostly for aesthetics and story reasons, and berethor's desire to marry 'er ended up with him missing his whole head. I'd much rather have Ysolda, or Lydia, or pretty much any of Whiterun's lassies. That is strange, I was able to get my female character, Zelda to marry Brelyna Maryon. That is a Lesbian elven marriage. I think it is reasonable to say that their radiant path should match their personality like Ysolda is more like going to go to the market or work at whatever place you had designated for her if it involves that self-established market. There are mods that allow that too. She could work there as well. She really wants to be an Innkeeper, so her preference if there is nothing to work with would be that once it is available. Housecarl spouses like Lydia should probably still act the same as they were your Housecarl, only doing anything else when it is available and when you offer such to them in person. More than likely, you should see them more willing to confront people who enter your house, which is their job as Housecarl. So if you are in your house or not and say vampires or thieves or assassins from the dark brotherhood decide to enter your house, your housecarl wife/husband (or even if didn't marry your housecarl) will easily be willing confront them. It is like marrying a guard dog. If you marry a Jarl, then your Jarl spouse will retain taking up residence at his or her manor (which means the decision to move your spouse out of that residence should either be disabled or when they do move, the seat of the Jarl is replaced by a new person). If you marry an Elf, that elf will spent most of their time using the Enchanter, Alchemy set or reading books (unless he or she is an Orc, in which they'll behave similar to a housecarl). If you marry a guild member like Aela, Cicero, or Faralda, they are more likely going to revisit their guild during most of the day (or night if they are a member of the Dark Brotherhood) and perform their spouse duties during the night and evening, unless you move them away, in which then they'll do something different like Aela will go to where there are training dummies and train or request you buy her one, Cicero will just disappear at some point and you'll see random dead bodies near your dwelling or at random places in the town you had resided, Faralda will do what any elf would do which will be the same for any other member of the College (read books, use the alchemy set, and use the enchanter set), members of the Theive's Guild should also disappear and suddenly see random objects you didn't have before in chests and other places in your house.
