jpmonteith Posted August 27, 2016 Share Posted August 27, 2016 Hey, I'm new to the Nexus, recently figured out how to use Nexus mod manager with help, even got a few mods from here; anyways, there is a number of mods I would like to modify my game with, they just sorta don't exist yet. Could be mods that are updates to other mods, mods that stand alone and still add new weapons, or mods that at modifications to weapons and armors. 1.) I would like to see a shotgun that actually has something different to it this time, something legitimately special; so my ideas are a double barrel shot gun that has simaltineous firing barrels that takes magazines, and it could be either semi-automatic, or crank-action. Perhaps if it has a crank, it could even have more barrels for more obliteration of all live infront of you. 2.) Modifications for the power fist. The power fist kinda got fisted on this, cause it's only got 3 mods (normal, puncturing and burning), and so I kinda wanna see more mods for it, maybe take inspiration from the past Fallout games, like New Vegas, which has bullistic fists, a saw fist, saturite fists, and a fist that had some sorta gauss rifle effect or something. 3.) More weapons from the previous games...I would love to have this blast from the past (pun intended), if there were a mod that could bring back weapons from the older Fallout games, that'd just be great, even if the weapon is 1 of the many gloves from New Vegas: Old World Blues dlc. Though personally, I'd like to have the Miss Launcher back. 4.) Perhaps a suit of super mutant power armor, constructed by the late Enclave, and by this, I mean a resized Frank Horrigan suit for Strong, the super mutant. Bigass knife, and gun too if possible. 5.) I've been wearing an outfit of the leather coat, and assault gas mask for a while....don't want any changes to either, but I do kinda want a coat to mesh well with the sack hood, and sack hood with hoses. "Why?" Cause I kinda wanna have different outfits constructed for different environments. Like the way I see it, my current outfit could be suited for colder climates, and maybe general use, but I also feel like the sack hood and other variants could be neat to wear for hotter climates, and arid environments, I just feel that way. 6.) A new world set in a game of dungeons and dragons with your companions...even the robotic ones. This is just for fun, really; could called it "Bunkers and bandits" 7.) Bottle bombs...cause there's a s#*! ton of useless bottles scattered across the wasteland, might as well put them to use, stick some tnt in them, light up, and toss. Make a home made shrapnel grenade. 9.) You ever hack a robot in the game to make it into a temporary companion who has a chance of getting offed? Pacified a raider, gunner, mutant, synth or any other creature of the wasteland that has then helped you in a fight and such? Why is there no option to send those f*#@ers to 1 of your settlements? Seriously I'd love to endoctinate the random enemies I've pacified to do my bidding into my army, or at least send 'em to my newly built vault where either they can be target practice for the guards and turrets, there, or be an upstanding member of the literally under-ground community. bombshell66 Posted August 30, 2016 Share Posted August 30, 2016 he there you have some nice ideas ..written here really thoughtfull...Ill help with some ideas with the addition of my own ideas ..as i'm no modder and to busy with real life and playing fallout 4 or my othergames (just today played Blitzkrieg 3 the first mission nasty germans in those days but well more was nasty that time ...and ofcourse the human race isnt doing much better nowadays but hey we can now have multiple hobby's ..end of rant)..... to mod a thing i once did but that was when quake 1 and quake 2 where quite new... your ideas 1. simultanius firing doublebarrelshotgun .... I havent seen one yet but i also havent seen all of the guns created for fallout 4there are other options like a 3 barrel or 4 barrel shotgun which are made and availeble and Pipe SHotguns ( you know pipe rifles <raider stuff>.....I dont know if they are single or simultanius shot ...having a reload animaton where you could click the shotgun open and reload with 4 shotgunshells in a package (lack for better words, could make a better drawing of it but that can come later....)) for ideas for your SHotgun of yours you could take a look at the Combat Shotgun from fallout 3 or the Pancor Jackhammer.. they both have magazines ..there also was the Caws another shotgun with a magazine but this was a straight one like a large m16 magazine for example( Bad example i thin myself) the Fallout 3 Combat Shotgun you'l find in Fallout 3 and as a mod in Fallout New Vegas ..not sure if its been recreated for Fallout 4 as Bethesda doesn't allow porting of Bethesda game assets to newer fallout games ...mods made for bethesda games is fine just not original assets may be ripped and transplanted ....The Pancor Jackhammer originally featured in Fallout 2 just like the Caws did ...of the Caws i dont know much but the Pancor Jackhammer is a real life shotgun just never put into production as it was found to inhumane to use as it eats op soldiers ..but to my oppinion if there where to be an heated end to the cold war a ww3 it surely would be put into action somehow ..an article on the PancorJackhammer can be found at wikipedia or some gun sites and it used a drum magazine as does the combat shotgun2...I agree more fists how about an Cryolater fist one that freezes oppenents that get hit .....idea 2 Crylolater fist 2 one that first freezes a raider orso and when the second hit comes the raider breaks into little iceblocks ( i havent played with the cryolater as i dont use cheats and i jsut started a new game with fallout 4 as Nora a female character ...Furhter low on fist ideas3.... Right you are weapons from previous fallout games starting from the first one Fallout 1, Fallout 2 , Fallout Tactics??, Fallout Van Buren demo ( it has some weapons and it had a nice flamer wich i used to incinerate those damned commies who where in town between the starting positon and the vault entrance ...And offcourse the weapons from Fallout 3 +DLC's weapons like the powersaw from the pit ( oke it was meant to cut metal but if printed out a picture of a female character with such a power saw standing ontop of a staircase somewhere in the pit...and the Wunderfull weapons of Fallout New Vegas and its Dlc weapons wich where quite a lot and i had my favs like the Battlerifle , 9 mm handgun with scope extended magazine and silencer... and there where more ( note the description of the 9mm hangun was with added mods made by a modder.. probably wmx I' stop for now 4.. 5... 6.... 7....bottlebombs nice idea but i have an different idea for your example ..... why not be a chemist with fluids or other already ingame ingredients,,, and mix those in a bottle wich need some flame or fuse( like old dynamite or firecracker fuses ...so you take a bottle go to a chemistry station or a completely new crafting station/bench and you prepare fluids and mix those into a bottle bomb of sorts... 8....Where' s idea number 8 ....now i can' t come up with something else 9...Good idea if you can pacify wild Bramin you could start a Brahim ranch or your own Caravan company of sorts Well this was fun guess it's time to get back on the forum ... jpmonteith Posted August 31, 2016 Author Share Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) I might have skipped 8.) by accident, dunno what I woulda' put there, but anyways, on the pipe shotgun mod, I've played with it, it's quite amazing, I'd recommend it, but the mod's double barrels, triple barrels, not quad barrels do not have simultanious fire barrels. Though, maybe if the mod author may extend the mod, perhaps he could add in crank loaded barrels, starting with a single barrel, going to 2, then 3, then 4, even 5, or even 6 barrels of mirelurk face devestation, as the shotgun could basically be working the same as a laser musket. Speakin' of laser muskets, now I think it'd be cool if someone possibly worked on a conversion weapon mod for it where you could turn it into a plasma musket, or something; I've got "crossbows of the commonwealth" (highly recommended if only for the plasma mod that can be added to it, basically turning it into a wookie bow caster; it's even the right color, check it out). Anyways. 2.) Your cryo fist idea is ok I guess, maybe if someone makes a mod where you can wear 2 power fists simultaneously and run around punching everything as if you were legit unarmed, and if the power fist on the pipboy hand didn't have any clipping issues with the pipboy. Hell though, it could even work with just 1 power fist, maybe have it spray the target with liguid nitrogen with every punch, and then the next punch has a chance of shattering them. Jeez, I could imagine that'd be painful with the live dismemberment mod. 3.) The combat shotty's pretty much already in Fallout 4, just the combat Rifle looks almost exactly like it from both of their beginnings. Besides, i've bored of their looks, and of their semi-auto fire, and had moved onto pipeshotties, and then to the good ol' cross bow, and damned proud of it too, considering the bow caster mod I've put on it. Not only will my enemies get pierced through the flesh, they'll also be getting burned with plasma. 7.) The idea I had for bottle bombs was kinda that you basically go to a chem station and shove a stick of dynamite down its hole. That or make the explosive material from whatever household appliance you have. Maybe bottle bombs could have a little more too them, maybe an acid effect for those heavily armored types; maybe put some bullets in some of the bottle bombs; maybe a mixture of bullets and napalm; maybe 1 bottle bomb could be fulla' some unstable, or over charged fusion cells/batteries and could act like a pulse grenade upon impact; maybe one could be a cryo-bomb and freeze enemies on contact. 8.) I think number 8 was gonna be a mod to work with cross cybernetics, basically to add a mod to the arms that upon wearing them, they add weapons to your inventory that, when selected, become a wrist gun, or wrist blade. Just ideas to have fun with someone else's idea. 9.) That idea came from even before Fallout 4 came out. Basically I was hoping at the time that I would be able to hack robots and even send the f*#@ers to any random settlements I wanted them at, but only half that dream had come true, with the release of the game. Damned bastards still give me no other option than to waste such good metal. Sure I can make robots with the Automatrons dlc, but I'm still not able to temporarily, permanently keep any-and-all robot's I've hacked and send them to become upstanding citibots of my communities. Seriously, who wants to waste potential? With the ability to turn robots into allies who will fight along-side you cause they've been reprogrammed that way, you've set up set up a long line of dominos, but have refused to let them fall-over. Hell, they've even given the ability to pacify all enemies in the game as well, meaning you won't really have to fight anything in the game ever as long as you have the perks required, and really good luck; and if the enemies you pacify and have as allies now survive, and have helped you greatly, I feel you should be allowed to reward them by allowing them to seek refuge and safety in 1 of your settlements, they get a place to stay, and you get a new soldier, win-f***ing-win. Come to think of it, it's sorta like Metal gear solid: Peace Walker, and v: Phantom Pain, with fulton retrieval, only your new members are just walking back to base as you wanted.
