Need help to install a simple mod.

Hello there !

 

Can someone explain me to install this mod please ?

Because it says :replace plparts_ddm_battledress.fpk inside of SteamApps\common\MGS_TPP\master\chunk0\Assets\tpp\pack\player\parts

character selection: male dds>battledress>balaclava

 

But Chunk0 is only a file you can edit with notepad for example, i can't drop stuff in it.

Drag chunk0.dat onto the QAR Tool and wait for it to finish unpacking.

 

Follow the mod installation instructions.

 

Drag chunk0.inf (a file generated by the QAR Tool) onto the QAR Tool and wait for it to finish repacking. Done!

Ok so i did all that, install with qar tool , but after install, when i launch the game it's crash on destokpt right away, can someone give me a hand on this one please ? :)

My guess is you didn't unpack the .dat through the command prompt ( mgsv_qar_tool.exe chunk0.dat -r ). If you didn't create a backup copy of your chunk0.dat then make sure you have the Chunk0 folder created by QAR Tool and the chunk0.inf file present in the same folder, otherwise you're going to have to wait a few minutes for Steam to revalidate the files. Drag the chunk0.inf file onto QAR Tool to rebuild the .dat.

 

After doing that or if you do have a backup copy, then unpack it through the command prompt. Also replace the dictionary.txt that was in the download with this one if the dictionary size is less than 2,000 KB.
