TheSpaceShuttleChallenger
Making companions in Fallout4 is a lot more work than making companions in Skyrim, assuming you want them to be the same quality as the vanilla companions. Fallout4's companions are a lot more customized, animations, responses and morality are all more detailed, and you've got that pesky Fully Voiced Player Character cutting down your options for new dialogue. On top of that, Fallout 4 is a lot more fragile than Skyrim, which deters casual modders.Plus there's been a lot of drama with Bethesda trying to get involved in distributing fan-made content. Long story short, their implementation leaves a lot to be desired, and modders right now don't have a lot of reason to trust all their hard work won't be destroyed by a broken update or stupid policy decision. Also, Skyrim is five years old and Fallout 4 isn't even one year old. The first year tends to be chaos with bugs, patches, new DLC and missing creation kits anyway, so of course there's not going to be as big a selection of mods for Fallout 4. Give it a few more years.
