Chaning character, saving skills

Hello everybody,

 

i'm already 25 lvl in skyrim, and i don't want to delete my lvl. I want to change my character - just look. When i use "showracemenu" commands skills reset. For example - i have archery on lvl 57, when i change race i get archer 18 lvl - same thing with other skills.

 

Question - can i somehow change my character look with saving my skills ?

 

btw. Sorry for my bad english, i'm polish and i want quick response ;)

I think you can just use the console to add up your skill again.

Only way I can think of, I just only started playing Skyrim and it's the first Elder Scrolls I've played so I don't know much.

Note: Using this command has unwanted side-effects. When race is left unchanged, all active magical effects will be lost, including racial powers like e.g. the Nord's Resist Frost or the Altmer's Fortify Magicka abilities. When race is changed, the players attributes (i.e. health, magicka and stamina) and skills (i.e One-handed, Heavy Armor, Block) will be mixed-up. In addition, if the player is a werewolf and changes their race and then transforms into beast form, upon changing back their body will be changed back to whatever race they were when they were infected, with the head invisible.

 

Race power (ie : voice of emperor) is lost forever. Race abilitity like Altmer +50 mana can be reset by using setrace highelf.

 

Showracemenu did not have such a downside in Oblivion (except changing char race).
