oc3
In case you do need to reinstall here's a link to Bben46's Oblivion reinstall procedure. If you use the Steam version of the game don't miss the link at the end of this line (I've expanded the link text to make it easier to spot):For those who need to move the steam client: How to Move your Steam to another location Without having to reinstall anything. LinkNo sense in getting into reinstall woes as well (i.e. don't skip the registry cleaning step). Good luck, and sorry I couldn't be of more help. Thanks Striker!I will definately use the reinstall guide. Thanks for the link.
oc3
Just in case anyone was wondering how it turned out...The instant crash at startup was caused by an INI tweak. Apparently it did not like by monitor resolution. Unintalling all mods did not fix the hair clipping or lip sync issue. Only a full wipe of the oblivion folder and reinstall worked. Keirgarth
Thanks for letting us know oc3, unfortunately a fresh install is the only answer at times, but it does work :)
PhaseVerocity
I just had the same problem. Turns out its something in the oblivion.ini file in the my documents folder under my games. I deleted that and it fixed the lip issue. After I went through each of the bits i typically change i discovered that turning bUseFaceGenLOD=0 to bUseFaceGenLOD=1 stops the mouths from moving.
