Crimsonfoxy
Just trying to grasp an idea of what's possible at the moment but is it possible to change the player model? If so, is it possible to do it ingame on the fly as opposed to a permanent change? Also if you can do you need to stick with a strict skeleton for the rigging or can you rig it up however you choose? Quetzlsacatanango
I don't know of a way to give the player a nonhuman skeleton, I doubt there is one, at least without affecting every NPC.
Crimsonfoxy
Ah, that's unfortunate. On a related note, how was the baby scene at the start done in FO3 or was it a mechanic removed from NV? Or was it just a scaled down rig?
ModelV
Its still somewhere the engine Im sure. They are pretty messy that way. Anyway what your asking able is possible(See super mutant and robot race for instance.) but requires a lot of skill. Best place to start would be the guy who made those mods. Quetzlsacatanango
Those bodies are rigged to human skeleton.
ModelV
Yes but they show that without the re-rigging its still possible to drastically change the player model is what I mean. Im only really answering his first and second question. You only answered his third question. :) It might be possible to modify the skeleton to have extra bones and have the player only use certain animations requiring those bones. I have no idea if thats possible or if anyone has the skill to do that though thats your field. :)
