Marakarth crime bug

SO I have already cleared the prison break quest from marakarth but whenever I commit a crime there it acts like I did not. Kill a guard and now I am in a repeat dialog loop with the guards. I can not go to prison, persuade, or bride the guard to let me go. How do I fix this issue.

The only surefire way that seems to work for everyone is to go through the stormcloak story until you take markarth.

 

Very sad if you already joined the imperials, or Markarth is ALREADY under stormcloak control

Guess I will rack up a 100k bounty or so and attempt to do the quests I have their.

Same thing happened to my husband. What seems to work is you go into either the Shrine of Talos (that's what we did) or Understone Keep and let the guards confront you there. You have to make sure you're not stopped along the way there, though, so either sneak or use invisibility potions to get there.

I solved the issues by just killing all of the guards at night. They do not respawn fast and I do not kill any important npc, so I have enough time to wait and do any quests I have. But I will try that next time I am in marakarth I will try that.
