mat1
I am loath to do this because these topics always irritate me, but I would love some advice so hear goes ... I purchased a GOTY addition of MW in '03? after playing the basic morrowind and loving it. Unfortunately at the time work and other commitments (anti gaming partner - but we got rid of her quick smart) meant it went on the shelf and never got opened. I recently found it in the bottom of a moving box with the recent house move and thought " well f#$k me, I should play that!" and promptly put it back on the shelf and.... well history repeats. So now I have summoned the will power to open the shrink wrap and install it, I have to ask - What mods should I use? - I spent a day or so exploring this topic ( and there have been a lot made in the last 5? years - and have come up with the following (mainly from this site I stumbled across) http://www.imageox.com/image/163941-morrowindp.jpeg So... any suggestions or vital mods that I have missed? I'm only a few levels in so would be happy to restart for convergence mods. Unfortunately I played it so much back in the day that so far its like remembering a good book I read last month - I remember the plot perfectly. Though like all good games I never came close to finishing it, so I should quickly (I hope) get over that.
Abramul
Whenever I deselect all mods, the first one I add again is my PotionSense mod, which changes default potions so that similare effects are grouped together, rather than similar quality. Keep your eye on Tamriel Rebuilt. Map 1, by the sound of things, is currently playable, although quests aren't complete.
Malchik
There was once a pinned thread evaluating various quest mods. You might search for it.
mat1
Abramul Thanks, that was a helpful addition. Malchik I did search and found some reasonably good threads that influenced my decisions so far. Unfortunately most of the "recent" threads have been cut short with a "please search for x thread about mods", which means it was some time in 2006 that the last long threat on this topic was debated. I'll stand corrected if this is due to there being no good mods released since then, though I doubt it, or if my inept search attempts have missed perfectly good topics. Thanks for your replies. :thanks:
Povuholo
I'll stand corrected if this is due to there being no good mods released since then, though I doubt it, or if my inept search attempts have missed perfectly good topics. There's Julan Ashlander Companion and Darknut's Greater Dwemer Ruins. Together with the LGNPC Pax Redoran mod you already have this makes the main quest a lot better. :)There's a small conflict between Julan and LGNPC Pax Redoran, so make sure that Julan loads later than it. Texture replacers don't appear in that list, but Connary's texture replacers are my favourite. They try to stay as close to the original textures as possible. Planet Elder Scrolls is having some issues right now, but when it's back up search for Connary in the author box. You're missing Piratelord's Creatures. V10 is being released soon. Last christmas we also got Piratelord's Trade Enhancements V3. GCD isn't new, but it's nice. And maybe this one.
10111010
I personally cant live without this mod , which adds combo attacks and new features to combat. http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View...ail&id=2164 You now can dismember fargoth into four peices thanks to the magic of mods.
