BigRollTide
I get an error when I try to go into the Shivering Isles door. "This door will not yet open to you." How do I get in? Shivering Isles has been installed for days and days. It's not a 24 hour problem. TIA
freddycashmercury
Well, you have to wait for the crazy guy to come out, then Sheogorath will speak to you, and when he finishes you can go in. If you still can't, I don't know what to tell you
BigRollTide
If the crazy guy is Belmyne Dreleth, then he already came out and is dead.
BigRollTide
Yes, I talked to the guard. I killed Belmyne a long time ago, like months in game time. I can't remember if I went in at all after that, but didn't want to do Shivering Isles until I finished the main quest. So, I did that and now was going to do the SI thing. But, it seems I cannot. I did talk to the guard, it seems, for the first time just now as I went through some dialogue that was still in "yellow" (as oppsoed to being in grey and thus meaning I'd already been through the dialogue), and ended the conversation with that I'd go through the gate. After that, I slept in front of the gate for at least 48 hours and still couldn't get in. I also tried saving the game, then used OBSE to disable SI, went back in, saved the game under a different save, exitted back out, reenabled SI, restored that second saved game, tried to go in, still couldn't, slept for 48 hours, and still couldn't go back in. I did restore back to that first saved game, tried going back in again, and cannot.
freddycashmercury
Sorry, I have no idea what to tell you. Maybe a more experienced user will see this and know what to do. Oh well.
BigRollTide
Actually, I might have typed in caqs at one point, which would have change the quest to a level it should not be. What is the quest name so that I can reset the level: "setstage (what goes here) 10"?
BigRollTide
Well, I found out what the stage name is (se01door). However, no matter what number I set it at, it will not let me in (I reset it to 0 and waited 48 hours, I also set it to 30 which said I was talking to the guy on the other side of the door). Is there any direct command that will set the door to something that will let me in? Change the door so that it knows I should be allowed in? I actually don't think I did type caqs earlier as I typed "getstage se01door" and it came back with 20.00.
BigRollTide
What command do you use to find out the cell id you are currently in. I found the CoC (CenteronCell) command on uesp, but I don't know what the cell id is. I was thinking I could start a new character, then go to SI, and then type in something that will tell me what the cell id is once I go through the door. try "player.moveto haskillref" or "player.moveto sihaskilref" or whatever the reference that is placed in world is (can't look it up since I don't have SI installed). I'm pretty sure you're trying to set the quest stage at the door, rather than at the quest. Or the door gets opened once the right quest stage has been triggered. The reason why you can't reset it is because you can't actually disable SI as SI is implanted as a perminant part of the game .esm. What you were disabling was merely a plugin that allows the packed resources for SI to be accessed. You either need to find someone reasonably capable with the game installed to look at the scripts, or you may have to start the game over with a new character. If you could locate the scripts for the door and the quest, and post them here, I could probably offer further advice.
