Bugged?: Nord Frost Resistance & Block 50% Elements - Doesn't

I really believe Nord Frost Resistance is broken - or at least doesn't stack with shield elemental protection. Admittedly, I am on Master, but I should get 80% resistance with both. I die far more quickly from frost than with fire when I have a necklace giving me 30% resistance plus 50% resistance from Block Elemental Protection. Anyone else encounter this? It appears bugged and is a bit frustrating to me. I wonder if I am missing something.

Actually, now that I posted this, I am embarrassed to admit, it might be working properly, but I'm still not sure. On Master the frost dragons just do so much damage though. I happen to find an Ancient Dragon and save just before confronting it. I have almost 400 HPs and a full blast, without using the shield, seems to put me down to about 50hp, but using the shield consistently *appears* to be about 100 hps, after multiple reloads and tries. However, I should only be taking 20% damage - that still seems extreme. I am still curious if anyone has any thoughts on their own experience... Edited by CaptainChaos

It's a bug with the last patch. I would suggest you go back to the 1.1 patch if you can, this last one has quite a few other bugs that you might run into as well that don't seem quite worth the fixes that it gives you....unless you go to lots of weddings and don't like the guests showing up dead...

On the Bethesda forum a few colleagues said the following as well - i dk if it's accurate but they believe:

1. There was always an 85% cap.

2. Shield 50% of damage was AFTER resistance. So if I had 50% Nord + 30% specific frost resistance = 80%. If 100 points of damage that would be 20 points suffered, THEN divided by 50% or 10 points of damage.

3. And they said 1.2 screwed i up also, but I wasn't sure by how much.

Thanks everyone, I will keep you posted. If you confirm the above, let me know!
